We're at an event here in France. Laurent and I haven't spoken since yesterday and I'm okay with it. Kya seems okay with it too. She smiled like an idiot when he walked by without acknowledging me.

Larry just arrived 15 minutes ago after us because he's been spending time doing whatever and leaving me lonely. He's gotten secretive about where he goes late at night. I really want to know but I get it. I don't know him like that. But if I have to guess I'd say there's a girl involved.

I took a lot of videos and pictures. There was a lot of people and the vibe was fun. Although, Laurent avoided all contact with me. I guess I struck a nerve with the first name basis thing. I told Larry and he died laughing after a look of second-hand pain touched his face.

I'm sitting on the stage looking through the pictures from today as everybody leaves. I hear Eleni yelling and think nothing of it until I look up and see who she's yelling at. It's Laurent and Kya. Eleni looks heated and points over to my vicinity a few times. After that conversation Kya couldn't stop mean mugging me. I should've socked her in her face, maybe that'd get Mr. Bourgeois riled up and he'd let me go home.

We get back to the hotel and Eleni wastes no time pulling me to my room. She quickly turns to me and smiles.

"Um... you need something?" I ask putting my stuff down on the desk.

"I just wanted to let you know that Laurent plans to let Kya come along with us to Indonesia." She says nervously.

I pause for a second and then respond with, "And If I did care what's point of telling me? Obviously she was staying since she hasn't left his hip."

She looks surprised.

"But Laurent—"

"Is a grown man and can do whatever he wants."

"Come on. You don't mean that. I saw the way you were with him. You can't just forget that."

I look away from her and sigh.

"Cut the bullshit. You're supposed to go ballistic and demand she get the fuck out of here so you can have your man back."

"Why would I want him back after what you made me realize? "He's a monster!" Remember. You said that."

"I didn't get to fully explain myself. You know how intense you get when you're angry. I had to give you space. Yes, Lau is horrible right now but you could help him become bette—"

"Why would I do that? Didn't you want us to stay away from each other?"

"No. I think you're perfect for one another. I just wanted you to realize what you we're getting yourself into."

"Huh." I chuckle softly as I sit down on the edge of the bed.

"So you're not mad that Kya is staying?"

"No, I definitely am. Why didn't you just tell me about your elaborate plan, E? Instead, of making me suffer?"

"I know you. You learn better from experiencing it. If I just told you, you might think I'm being bitter or something. Lau went through a hard time his last relationship and is obviously just using Kya and it's unhealthy. You two could have something real. I want the best for the both of you. I do. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you."

"It's okay, E." I get up and hug her.

"What are we going to do about Kya?" She asks after we let go.
