"Who were you before they broke you?" Millie thought to herself as she walked back to the motel. She was on her phone looking at depressed pages when she bumped into someone. Her luck, it was Noah.
"Noah." Millie said.
"Omg Mills." Noah leaned in for a hug but Millie pushed away. "Mills talk to me."
"What's to talk about?" Millie said loudly.
"I know you're broken. I know you've been through so much so let me save you."
"I DON'T WANT YOU TO SAVE ME. I WANT YOU TO STAND BY MY SIDE AS I SAVE MYSELF. THIS CONVERSATION IS THROUGH NOAH!" Millie yelled. Everyone stared and looked at her.
"Millie please." Noah said as Millie walked away. Noah sighed.
"Step one, you say we need to talk. He walks you say sit down, it's just a talk. He smiles politely back at you. You smile politely right on through. Some sort of window to your right. As he goes left and you stay right. Between the lines of fear and blame, you began to wonder why you came." Millie looked back at Noah as she sang.
"Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night had I known how to save a life." Noah sang as Millie turned her head.
"Let him know that you know best, Cause after all you do know best. Try to slip past his defense, without granting innocence. Lay down a list of what is wrong, the things you've told him all along. Pray to god he hears you, and I pray to god he hears you." Millie sang as she ran to Noah.
"Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend. Somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life." They both sang.
"As he begins to raise his voice, you lower yours and grant him one last choice. Drive until you lose the road, or break with the ones you've followed. He will do one of two things, he will admit to everything. Or he'll say he's just not the same, and you'll began to wonder why you came. Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night had I known how to save a life." Millie sang.
"How to save a life. How to save-a-life." They both sang. Millie had tears running down her face as she hugged Noah tightly. Noah let out a big breath as everyone around them clapped.
