Not Alone

Chapter 1

I woke up, she was looking at me. I couldn't help but smile, I , Simon Lewis was waking up with my arms around the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen, her hair was a mess and she wasn't wearing makeup, but that was okay, she was mine.

I never understood why she liked me, I was a vampire nerd, she was a kickass shadowhunter, but that's besides the point. I sighed and got up, and a pleasant grin spread across her face

"Where do you think you're going?" She asked as she grabbed my arm and pulled me back down "I'm not done with you yet"

I smiled and kissed her softly, she put her arms around me and deepened the kiss but I pulled away

"Isabelle...why me? You could have any boy out there but you picked me...why?"

She giggled as I looked into her beautiful brown eyes.

"Simon, I'm the girl here, I'm the one who's supposed to ask why you love me. "

I couldn't help but smile, she was so perfect. I kissed her again, with such passion and intensity that it almost scared me.

We got up after a while, and Isabelle went back to the institute. I always felt a stab of pain in my heart when she left, like she wasn't gonna come back. I knew she would. I hoped she would.

I spent the day thinking about her, thinking of something I could do to impress her. That's when it came to me, I would buy her something, a ring maybe and go surprise her with it at the institute.

I went out and found the most beautiful ring, a white gold infinity ring with small diamonds all around it, I knew Isabelle would love it. After I bought the ring, I went to the florist and bought some roses, I was getting anxious by this time, what if she didn't like them? What if it was too soon?

By the time I made it to the institute I had mutant butterflies attacking my insides, but I went inside anyway. Looking back now I wished that I had went home instead because when I opened the door of Isabelle's room, she wasn't alone, laying with her was a blue eyed, blonde haired boy. I didn't get a good look at his face, I was too upset. I just looked at them both.
