A soft sign of relief.

I opened my eyes and looked around. I was in a dark cell, the walls made up of cement blocks, I could faintly hear water dripping on the cold stone that surrounded me. I managed to get to my feet, my head was pounding. I felt my way around the dimly lit cell to try and find a clue as to where I was. As I explored my surroundings I could hear a woman speaking in the distance, crying for help.
"Isabelle" I yelled.
Within seconds a man walked into the cell.
"Fancy meeting you here Simon" said the voice.
"Lucas" I said "I've already told you, I can't change you back!"
He grabbed me by the neck and held me against a wall.
"Now you listen to me, I have her in that cell right there, I can kill her whenever I want, but I'll give you one more chance to give me what I want or she goes, is that really what you want Simon? To be the reason that precious Isabelle dies!?"
I tried to respond but his grasp one throat was stifling my ability to speak, after a few seconds he let me fall to the concrete and left.
"You have 3 days Lewis"
I gasped for air. Well that's just great, 3 days to find a cure that doesn't exist or Izzy dies.

I stayed laying on the ground for quite some time. I had no clue what to do, there was no cure, no way to save Isabelle. If only I had know that it would cause me this much trouble, I would have never done it, I would have never but him or tried to save him but failed, I wish there was some way to take it all back.

Suddenly I heard a faint whisper.
"Simon?"
"I'm right here doll" I said.
And from the other cell I heard a small sob of relief.
