"Cait, you have to tell him eventually. Don't you think?"
"Not if I get over him I don't."
"Ok, Caitlin, sweetie, we both know that's never gonna happen." Cisco snickered as he started putting his screwdrivers and tool bits back into his box.
Caitlin got up from her seat on his desk and crossed her arms like an upset child. "And why is that, Mr. Ramon? Why do you think I can't get over my small crush?"
"For one, it's most definitely not a 'small crush.' Don't kid yourself. Second, I know you've liked Barry at least a bit since he woke up from his coma. He has charm, which obviously has trapped you in his wits." Cisco started swinging around his screwdriver and almost scratched Caitlin with the sharp tip while doing so.
"Be careful with that! You almost cut me with it."
"I don't see how that's a problem. You can just get your Prince Charming to kiss it better for you." He started making kissing noises and mocked Caitlin. Typical Cisco.
"You are impossible. I'm not telling Barry how I feel. He just broke up with Iris and I don't want to put this on him. She was literally the love of his life. I mean, he obviously doesn't feel the same way so why embarrass myself? If he never finds out, what's the harm?"
Cisco gave her an incredulous look and waved his arms for emphasis. "What's the harm? The harm is that I see you being all sad puppy love and pining over Barry while he's oblivious to everything! Do you know how annoying that is? I'm a shipper and I ship it. If Cairry doesn't happen, I will die."
"Cisco, what the hell is a 'Cairry,'" Caitlin asked with making air quotations. "And it's not pining. It's a crush for the last time."
"Cairry is your ship name with Barry, duh. Dr. Wells and I made it up when y'all first met. We made a bet and I said y'all would date in a year. He said it'd take much longer. He won... Now that I about it, that bet was rigged! He was from the future! Bastard..." Cisco glared and mumbled the last part.
Caitlin just gave him an odd stare. "I think Snowbarry would be better than 'Cairry.'" She shuddered at that name.
Cisco was still thinking the bet situation with the deceased speedster in his head when Caitlin silently slipped out of the room. She walked to the Cortex thinking things over in her head. What if she did tell Barry? What would happen to their friendship? What would he say to her? Would it be as if they had a one night stand? Would things be that estranged? No, it couldn't possibly be like that. Then again, sometimes one night stands are how relationships are made. After all, Barry did take care of Caitlin that time she got super drunk and sang karaoke with him. That was an interesting night. But Caitlin knew Barry was heartbroken and didn't need to know about her unrequited love for him. What he doesn't know couldn't harm him, right? Wrong. Because Barry did know and it had effected him immensely.

"Hey, Caitlin." Barry said nonchalantly as he entered the Cortex. It was fairly late at night, around 11:30. It was normal for Caitlin to stay this late. She didn't exactly have anyone waiting on her at home. When Ronnie was around, they would leave together at whatever time they pleased. Ever since he was gone, she started staying later and later each night. Cisco knew it wasn't good for her and told her to go home before, but it didn't work. Barry was only there so late because he needed to desperately talk to Caitlin. He also didn't want Cisco to be around at the time they spoke.
