Chapter 3

Zayn's POV
After dinner at the Coleman's household my parents and I came home to get a fairly decent night's sleep. I couldn't stop thinking about what me and Zendaya saw earlier today I haven't even been in this house a whole day and I'm already starting to lose it. As I closed my eyes and begin to try and find sleep. I hear my phone ding indicating that I have a text I reached over and grab my phone off the nightstand. I quickly close my eyes as the light from the phone shines brightly in my eyes. After about a minute of adjusting to the light I go to check my messages to see I have a new message from Zendaya

Give me a ride to school tomorrow and I can get you three more kids to help us with your little wall mystery we'll be the new mystery inc

You've got yourself a deal Honeydip lol be ready by 8
After that I close my eyes again this time easily slipping into a deep sleep.

Why am I outside of a library what is going on here suddenly I hear my name being called "Zayn help us" "Zayn tell our story" "Zayn you must set us free." The door to the old shabby library slowly opens I just stand there what I look like going into this death house. As I examined the library a little more I get a glimpse of the address 443 Walker Street. I finally take in my surroundings everything is quiet very quiet then out of nowhere this dark shadow comes running towards me I quickly take off down the road as the shadow shouts to me "Don't go sticking your nose in places it doesn't belong" I trip over something landing on my arm. The shadow stands above me it has the outline and silhouette of a man but it has no face yet it can still speak it leans in close to me and says "Many tried to figure it out and they all failed"
I awake in a cold sweat panting and trying to catch my breath. I look over at the time to see that it is 7 o'clock. Jumping up to go do my daily hygiene routine and getting dressed in a casual outfit for today

After I finish getting dressed I check the time to see that it is 7:55. I make my way downstairs to see that my parents were already gone. I make my way outside and to my car to see Zen making her way over. She was dressed in a very comfortable looking outfit

"Good morning neighbor" she said with a slight chuckle as she buckled up her seatbelt. "Good morning Zen" I say back as I pull out of the driveway. We sit in a comfortable silence as the radio plays in the back I decided to break the silence to ask her a question. "So who are these three people you think can help us?" She looked at with a slight smirk "Did I say three I meant five" I let out a small sigh "Anyway who are they" "Let's just say they're some friends of mine who are not afraid of the paranormal." I smirked slightly "Sound like my type of people." We pull up to the school I find a parking space and then we get out of my car. School does not start until 8:45 it's only 8:20 we have 25 minutes to kill. "Well since we have 25 minutes to spare you wanna go take me to meet these friends of yours" "Sure" we make our way across the schoolyard to this big oak tree with a group of people standing under it we stop in front of them as Zendaya begins to introduce me to them "Zayn this is Ephasia Thomas she's good with research, Then we have Asia Smith she's the logical one out of everyone normally the one to figure the clue out before everyone else, Next we have Sean Anderson he's the one with the connections the reason we haven't been thrown in jail yet, lastly we have Ethan and Grayson they're twins and they're good at science and Math everyone this is Zayn and he's our next case study" We continue to talk until it's time to head to class. The day goes by pretty quickly I'm in my last class of the day and let's just say it's boring as hell. I find myself dozing off until I feel a chill down my spine and hear a voice whisper in my ear "In the library you'll find what you need it's not on the shelves but hidden really well knock 3 times and I will let you in" The bell then rings signaling the end of the day I meet with Zendaya and the group at the big oak tree. "We have to go right now" "Go where" Sean questions "The library" I then hear Grayson chuckle and then next thing I know everyone is full on laughing "Look dude I know you haven't been hear long but it doesn't take a rocket science to know that this town barely has stores let alone a library" Ethan says. I look them all in the face "Alright bet follow me" They exchanged looks before shrugging and following me to my car. We all pile into my car as I put in the adress 443 Walker Street into the GPS within 30 minutes we were in the parking lot of the old shabby library from my dream. "Y'all must be out of your Caucasian minds if y'all think I'm walking into that building that basically screams death" I heard Asia say "Come on there are other cars out here meaning that there are other people in there" Sean says as be drags her into the library. Inside was actually way nicer than it was on the outside. "So what exactly are we looking for?" Grayson asks "I don't know I heard a voice it said something along the lines like in the library you'll find what you need not on the shelves but hidden knock three times and I will let you in" "Knock....Knock so like a door" Zendaya said "I guess" Asia shook her head no "If these things live in your walls then try a wall" So that's what we did and honestly we were getting nowhere until Ephasia said she found something it looks like a door someone tried to cover up so I knocked three times. However nothing happened or so we thought a few seconds later the ground and the wall began to shake viscously as the door opened. We slowly made our way inside. We looked around and the walls were filled with old looking books and articles. "Guys all of this is the history of the town" Ephasia said "Look it's a whole section dedicated to your house Zayn" Sean said Ethan then grabbed a book as we crowed around him we then heard something be knocked down " I told you kids don't go sticking your nose in places it doesn't belong but since you wanna know so much here you go." The room began to spin as the table and articles began to disappear as a loud sinister laugh was heard around us. We were then back inside the walls in my room but this time the scene was different it looked like some type of Auction was going on. Grayson took a step forward causing the floor to creek at first I wasn't worried because they can't see us just like when me and Z was here but boy was I wrong as soon as I heard a voice say "WHAT ARE YOU KIDS DOING HERE?" "What do we do" whispered Sean "RUN!!!" Asia said and that's exactly what we did Zendaya pulled out her phone when we were outside and far from the house "Guys why does my phone say that todays date is March 21st 1963"
