"It's chicken soup, you should really eat" my nurse continued to pester me. The nurse came closer and rested her hand on my shoulder, as if reflex I slapped her hand away and I backed up against the wall and slightly moved the bed in the process. I don't quite understand why but her hand sent shivers up my spine and it made me scared as if the hand could and would kill me. She continued to come closer and she once again brought her hand up to my shoulder, but before she could touch me I let out a shrilling scream. I watched her press a button strapped onto a necklace around her neck then I saw a doctor come in with a needle. I thrashed around when he approached with a smile on his youthful face, but the nurse kept me down. "Let me.......go" I managed to call out.
I cracked open my eyes, but immediately closed them. The reason.......well I saw red blood-shot eyes boring into my soul. His eyes held relief and anger. He took my hand in his and I began to shiver uncontrollably. I felt as if Scrouge was everywhere even in a nurse I didn't feel safe. I laid back into my pillows and took deep breaths, I had to control myself. "Amy, why did you slap and scream at a nurse". I really didn't feel like answering his question so I hugged him while trying to control my shivering. I felt him tense up when I began to shiver. So I pulled away "Burrr!kinda chilly, can you get me a blanket please". He looked at me strangely and then walked out the door to retrieve the blanket. When I was sure he was completely gone I got up which was very painful. I went to the cabinet under the sink and look through it. "Found it" I cried as I swallowed the sleeping pill and ran over too my bed. That way Shadow wouldn't be able to interrogate me just yet. Eh I'll tell him eventually, but let's try to avoid that.
Shadow's POV.
I got Amy the fuzziest blanket the hospital had to offer. Sure I had to threaten a couple of doctors with my chaos emerald, but alls well that ends well. I opened the door and Amy was asleep I slapped myself for falling for that she used the blanket as an excuse to take sleeping pills I groaned as I picked up the container of sleeping pills. I set the the pills on the food tray next to her bed, I examined her sleeping figure, I felt myself smiling at her she's just so.....beautiful. Then I frowned as I remembered how much she seemed to shiver when I held her hand and when she hugged me. I took my phone out of my pocket and walked out the door as I dialed a number I didn't think I'd ever have too use again.
"Yeah, hi it's Shadow". "Ok listen I need you to protect a girl named Amy Rose". "Yeah, I'll send you a picture". "120 a day!!!" "Wtf!?!?fine I'll pay it just protect her". "Yup, she's released tomorrow". "Ok bye,Rouge". Once I hung up I went to the vending machine bought some Oreos and a lemonade . I left it on Amy's food tray, I walked over to her bed. I took her bangs out of her face and kissed her forehead, and left but not without looking at her one last time.
