I hated being 17 because I couldn't drown my sorrows in alcohol, although I'm not a virgin, so honestly, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. So I called Ashton, because I knew he'd be taking this just as hard as I am. "Hey Ash. Come over, and don't forget the booze. Thanks mate." I left a message. Odd.. he always answered his phone..
***ASH POV***
I groaned loudly as I flopped down on the bed. "Back!" I gleefully said to my best friend, whom I was talking to over Skype. "Have fun babe?" Raina said as she winked at me creepily. "Yeah, I guess you could say that." I said as I smirked and winked back. Just as that happened, my phone rang, but I had left it in the kitchen and there was NO way I was missing what was about to happen.. "Mmmm Ash, I really miss you.." she sensually whispered as she bit her lip. I had an odd feeling wash over me, it was guilt. I shouldn't be doing this. "Raina, I shouldn't be doing this. You're Luke's. This isn't right." I stuttered out. "But Ash, babe I need this." "Well then Skype or call Luke. Not me, ok? I love you, but not like that. Not like I used to." I said sternly. She was taken aback by this and ended the call. I felt bad, but not as guilty.
**RAINA POV**
I ended the call abruptly. He was right. I'll Skype Luke. It rang not even twice. His beautiful face came up on the screen. "Baby! I thought you'd never call!" Luke exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear. I decided I'd rile him up a bit. "Well, I was GOING to talk to Ash.. but he turned me down." "So I was your second choice?" I could see him fuming. "Well.. I suppose you were." I evily smirked, hoping he would click into what i wanted. "Why was I your second choice? Are you mad at me for leaving?" he began to worry and I had to stop him in his tracks and tell him what REALLY happened. "Woah woah woah calm down baby it's okay, I'm not mad at you at all. I was going to call you, but I was in the middle of... something and I wasn't paying attention to my screen and i clicked Ash's name by mistake. I am honestly so sorry hun. You would never truly be my second choice." I hurriedly said so that he wouldnt be upset. "W-well okay, just don't do that, it scares me." Luke said pouting and crossing his arms. I heard Calum call for him and I knew that your time had been cut short. "I better let you g-" I didn't get to finish my sentence as I heard a knock at the door. "I have to go babe, someone's at the door. Talk later?" you asked quickly. "Wha- oh yeah sure!" he answered and ended the call. "He never said he loved me.." I thought to myself as I pranced downstairs to get the door. "One second!" I shouted as I threw my sweater on as I was bra-less. I opened the door to see an all-too-familiar face staring at me. I swear he never gives up. It's my ex, Alex. We broke it off more than 2 years ago, but he comes over to see me and check on me every now and then. I don't mind too terribly much, but it gets pestery when it's more than 3 times a month. "Hey Rai, how've you been?" he muttered out as usual. "Ehhh, I'm alright. Luke just left for a year-long tour so I'm a little down. And yourself?" I questioned. "W-well... T-Tay b-broke up w-with me." he said through light sobs. You felt sorry for him, but you couldn't let him in again. He hit you, and he regrets it, and you know it, but you love Luke, and you know it would hurt him if he ever found out that you even let Lex in the house. "I..I'm sorry, you know I can't help you. I..I don't want to hurt Luke.." I whispered. "I know, I just miss you, Rai. So much." he retorted quickly. "That's the alcohol talking, Lex. Come on, home time." you said, assuring him that you're fine and so will he be. This was gonna be a long year..
