Our family started packing early that next morning. I put in shirt after shirt into the suitcase and I got tired. Although, Asialyn and I still weren't talking I went into her room to see what she was doing. I walked into the doorway and stood, not knowing what to say.
Say something! My mind told me.
"What are you looking at?" I blurted out.
She looked back at me, "Just some old family photos."
I walked into the room and sat down next to her.
We flipped though some photos, You remember this Sky?" she said, holding the photo.
"Yes!" I started laughing, " we were having an unsupervised water fight and dad got drilled."
Asialyn started laughing, " and I got grounded!"
"You hit him!" I said.
"You were the one!" she said back.
"but you got in trouble for it!" I smiled.
Asialyn's voice got serious, "You know I didn't mean to hurt you or Hayes."
I gave her a hug, " I know, and I'm sorry"
"Are we best friends again?" she asked.
"We never weren't best friends!" I smiled.
