** Sorry it took me so long to update! **
Grace's POV:
"I think we should leave." Niall's voice came out low and cautious. His eyes circled around the room before meeting with mine once again.
His nervousness was bringing questions to my mind.
"Don't be silly." I responded, trying to sound casual about it. "We're perfectly fine here."
Once again, his head spun around the room as if he were looking for something. The way he was acting was frightening, but I refused to show it. My weaknesses will not be demonstrated while some cowardly boy was beside me.
"Please." His voice came out in a whisper. "We need to go."
I shook my head, taking some ointment on my hand and smothering it on his oozing knee; smiling at the way he tensed at my touch. "Why do you want to leave so badly? Is it because you don't trust me? Because that's okay... I don't trust you either."
"No." He replied, his blue eyes were still pleading to me.
An exasperating sigh escaped my lips, as I stuck a bandage on his wound. "Then what is it?"
"Well..." His voice dropped to an even lower whisper and he leaned closer to me which I thought was a bit too close. "There's someone in here with us."
My first reaction was to laugh, as if he said something funny. Because although what he had said made my heart sink and I could actually feel fear washing over me, I would never have the audacity to admit that what he had said frightened me. I was in control of him, and being afraid would make me look weak and helpless.
"Nonsense, Niall." I laughed out, directing my eyes away from his. "No one is here. I haven't seen anyone for miles around, except you of course."
The innocence Niall held made him look more and more scared. His eyes were flashing around searching for the mysterious person, while his body was in a perfect upright pose.
"B-But..." Niall stuttered, his soft voice turning hard. "I saw him."
Fear became my emotion once again. The thought of someone stalking me had always scared me.
I bit my lip, thinking of how I was supposed to seem unmoved by his words. "Oh really?" I started.
He nodded, his blonde hair flipping to the side in the process.
"Well... Then why don't we invite this mysterious man out?" I asked, my heart was pulsing and I had no way of controlling it.
Niall shook his head in a flash. "No, I don't think that's a good idea. We should just go and leave him at peace."
But I couldn't leave now. I couldn't -wouldn't- show this boy that I have a weak side. I don't have a weak side.
"Oh yes! Mr. Mystery come out!" I ridiculed, sarcasm edging in my voice. "I think you've frightened this boy! Please, come out!"
Niall's voice shaped into an 'o'. He began motioning for me to shut up, but that only made me want to continue.
"Come on now, don't be afraid." I shouted, there was a smirk hidden within me. I had to admit, the more I mocked this fake person the less spooked I felt. "Just come out and show yourself!"
Niall's face grew disappointed as he realized no one was coming out. "You shouldn't do that..."
"Niall, no one is here." I told him. "You were probably just seeing things."
"I know I didn't though... He was here."
Even though Niall seemed confident that he knew what he was talking about, I was feeling more at ease by the second when no one came out.
