The yellow bus with multiple eyes
Is like a horrible monster in a clever disguise,
Parents are fooled, but not the children,
They know of the in-congestion that lies within.
The lights turn on, calling dibs for all to see,
Nobody can hear it going "he he he he"
Its mouth opens wide and its arm comes out,
Swallowing little children, not even a shout.
It then smiles with a rumble and starts to move,
Surprisingly it does not dance a triumphant grove.
It has marijuana breath and drugs unseen.
The monster is some kind of magnet to all things green.
The stomach is boring, kids start to yell,
It's once heavenly stomach has turned to an uprising of hell.
Now regreting the meal, it feels like a fool,
And then pukes them all up at boring old school.
This poem has a light, joking and very sarcastic tone to it. I enjoyed giving the bus personifications because it really helps show the sarcastic tone and exaggerated qualities of it as well.
