The Wall

We all stop at walls

Fearful of their sheer size

A giant shadow cast

Ahead an obstacle lies

Too many times you have tried

Almost overcoming the wall

but every time you look up

You wonder if it's worth it at all

do I have to climb this?

Possible it seems not

The reason that brought you

Has long been forgot

Why even bother?

I'm just going to fall

I'm just going to fail

This is too big for someone so small

That's the thinking that kills ideas

Death to imagination and dreams

Yet there is something you missed

your wall is weaker than it seems

A strong leap of courage

is all you need

To overcome walls that block

us from what we seek

What do we seek behind a wall?

change

something different from before

This something will first be strange

but it is always worth the jump
