Chapter Two
I spin around, fur crackling with electricity. 'They found me.' I thought 'It's now or never.'
"Don't hurt me!" A small, timid voice said.
The Energy in my pelt died down. "Hello? Who's there?"
A pair of small, green eyes poked out of a bush. Lillipup crept out of the bush a moment later, ears perked for danger.
I almost laugh. It's just a Lillipup. No danger there. Instead, I narrow my eyes.
"What do you want?" I ask. As harmless as he looks, I don't want to take any chances.
"I just wanted.....well, I...." The poor thing looked about ready to pass out. "I just wanted to find a friend to spend the night with." He shifted his paws. "The forest is kind of scary, ya know?"
I find my self nodding. Before I think better of it, I gesture to a spot near by.
His face lights up, but before he can say anything else, I'm fast asleep.
----------------------------------------------
My dreams that night were filled with fire. My already golden fur burned with the light of the fire. It didn't affect me, but I was watching everyone die. Olivia, my trainer. Simple, my best friend.
Red eyes watched me, silently laughing.
----------------------------------------------
I woke up in a sweat. Lillipup was standing over me, green eyes round with worry.
I struggle to me feet. Sun poked through the leaves, showering me with light.
"I'm alright," I say, before Lillipup could speak "just a nightmare."
"Good," He said, visibly relaxing "I was worried."
I snort. No duh. "We need to find some food. Any idea?"
"There is a huge city not too far from here. We can find food there, and it will be easy to blend in." He started to walk towards the direction of the city. "You coming?"
I nod. Looks like I have to trust him.
Besides, it's lonely traveling alone.
He led me through the forest, staying away from the path and wondering trainers as much as possible. We stayed quite throughout the journey. The forest opened up after a while.
I stopped and stared at the bridge. It was huge, with a road underneath it.
Lillipup grinned "It's just across this bridge. Not far from here."
I gaped at him "Do you know how dangerous that is? I'm SHINY. I stand out. Trainers would come at me with bags full of pokeballs."
His head dropped, ashamed. "Guess I wasn't thinking."
I nudged him with my shoulder. "I have an idea."
