Chapter Six

Oh no. Oh no no no no no. This can not be happing. Why would-who-?

My mouth hangs open, and I can barley stutter out, "What?"

Fitch laughed. "You heard me. Team Flare will be here in an hour."

My fur bristles and sparks rocket through my golden-black fur. "You WHAT?! HOW. DARE. YOU. I trusted you, and what do I get? I get betrayed!"

I noticed Fitch's eyes flash with defiance-and a little bit of hurt. But did I care? No.

I think.

My head hurts, ok? Don't judge.

Anyways, I need to get out of here. My eyes scan the small room.

There.

Right behind N, there was a small hole just large enough for me to fit inside. I dash, sparking with electricity so if her tried to grab me.... Well, let's just say that fabulous green hair would be no more.

"Get. That. Shinx!" I heard N yell, and then the patter of Fitch's foot steps behind me.

I run faster, finally emerging out of the sewer. The people around me stopped to stare. I nodded at them then ran before their pokeballs could start flying.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see a fire escape. An idea starts to form in my head as I bolt towards it.

'Faster, Faster!' I think as I bolt up the stairs leading to the top of a tall building. I hear Team Flare close behind and I pushed my legs to move faster.

Finally emerging at the top of the building, I head towards the edge of roof and prepare myself to jump onto the next roof.

"Static, stop running." I hear a calm voice from behind me. I stiffen automatically, breathing hard.

'Lysandre' I thought, turning around to confirm my fears.

"You know what we are after, so why won't you give in?" He smiles at me.

Geez, he is demented.

"Jump backwards, Static." Said a calm voice from behind me.

I look up at Lysandre, then behind me.

Ah, £^*# it. I jumped and landed on a feathery back.

The braviary that had caught me flew upwards and I looked down at the small figures of N and Lysandre. I laughed with relief.

Someone cleared their throat behind me, and I notice another pokemon sitting on the braviary. It was an Umbreon, his black fur was sleek and the gold rings shone.

"Um, Hi. Thanks." I stammer, momentarily forgetting how to talk.

He frowns slightly. "You don't remember me?"

My eyes widen. I'd know that voice anywhere.

"Simple?!?!"
