I knock on Pein’s door.
“Come in.” He yells. I open the door and walk to his desk.
“You wanted me?” I say. He nods and looks at me.
“So how’d it go with Itachi and Deidara?” He asks curious. I smile a wicked smile and ball my hand in a fist, smashing against the palm of my other hand.
“Perfect.” I say. He laughs.
“Oh yeah. I called you here because I have a mission for you.” He says watching me.
“A mission? Why now?” I ask.
“You’ve been in the Akatsuki for a few months now, so I thought it was time to give you a mission.” He says. I smile and nod. “You and another member have to go to the Land of Cloud to spy on the Two Tailed Beast. The beast’s name is Nibi the Two Tailed Cat. The girl that the beast resides in is names Yugito. Don’t do anything but watch her, then return.
“Who will be my partner?” I ask. Someone knocks on the door and opens it.
“Kisame?!?” I yell. Me and him never talk, we always just accepted each other’s presence. Kisame looks at me startled. Pein chuckles.
“No, not Kisame. Later Kisame.” Pein says. Kisame looks at me again then leaves.
“Then who is it?” I ask.
“Kakuzu.” Pein says.
“Wait, Kisame isn’t so bad after all!” I say.
I sigh as me and Kakuzu walk out of the hideout. Kakuzu looks at me.
“So, how much money do you think I could get outa you?” He asks. I turn around and glare at him.
“Shut up.” I say.
Days Later… AFTER The Spying
“We should make it back to the hide out tomorrow. Until then, let’s spend the night at a hotel with a hot springs.” Kakuzu says, walking beside me.
“Fine.” I mutter.
We find a hot spring place and get checked in. We go into the rented room. Kakuzu puts his stuff down, and I find the farthest spot from him.
“I’m going to the hot spring.” I say getting up. Kakuzu nods.
I walk through the hallway that leads to the hot spring and hear a familiar laugh. One I haven’t heard in 5 months. N-Naruto? I think horrified. He was coming up behind me. I grab a towel from the nearest rack and put it over my head and face the floor. Naruto walks by me with some pale guy with short black hair beside him. Naruto’s shoulder brushes up against mine. He turns and looks at me, I keep staring at the floor.
“Sorry about that.” Naruto says and keeps walking.
I realize I’m holding my breath, and let it out. He didn’t see my face. I think relieved. That means Sakura must be in the girl’s hot spring. So much for relaxing away from Kakuzu. I think, annoyed. I walk back to the room Kakuzu rented and opened the door. Kakuzu looks at me.
“I thought you were going to the hot spring?” He says.
“Something… came up.” I say and walk to my room.
3 hours later
I walk out of me and Kakuzu’s room to talk a walk, and breathe air that Kakuzu hasn’t already breathed. I walk down the hall way and turn the corner. I smash into someone and we both fall back. I lay on the floor. I close my eyes so the dizziness will go away.
“Y-Yuki?” The person I knocked into whispers. Oh no…. I open my eyes and see Naruto across from me.
“I’m sorry, I’m not Yuki.” I say hoping he’ll think he got the wrong person. Naruto doesn’t say anything. I get up and walk away.
“Wait!” Yells Naruto. I turn and run as fast as I can.
“Kakuzu!” I yell, hoping he’ll hear me. Nope.
“Please, wait Yuki!” Naruto yells, running behind me. I duck into the nearest door, which was actually a curtain with blue at the bottom. I run a few feet and pass another curtain with blue at the bottom. I skid to a halt. I’m in the boys side of the hot springs! I think looking at the hot spring right in front of me. Staring up at me, was the guy that was with Naruto before.
