You Were Never Mine (2nd Sequel to 'You Are Mine')

Day 42

"Where are we going?" I ask Yoongi, taking long strides to keep up with him. "I've never been to this part of Seoul before."

"I'll tell you when we get there," Yoongi sighs, stopping and making me walk into him. "We're here."

I look at the black door he has stopped at, the house doesn't look anything special. It looks small and homely, I'll give it that.

"Maybe she'll be inside.." Yoongi mumbles, knocking on the door.

No shuffling or footsteps are coming from the inside.

Yoongi goes to knock again; the house replies with silence.

"I swear if she hid the key here.." Yoongi says to himself more than me, and lifts a plant pot to find a small silver key. "I cannot."

I try not to laugh at Yoongi's look of disapproval. He puts the key into the lock and opens the door.

"Wait," I hold onto his shoulder before he goes in. "Is it okay for us to go in? What if someone else has moved in? Isn't this illegal?"

"When did you turn into a Hoseok?" Yoongi smirks before walking inside.

I reluctantly follow.

The house looked like it had been left to die, I wonder if, whoever her landlord was, couldn't sell a dead girls home. The only light I can see is from the open door behind us, other than that, the house was dark and murky. From Yoongi's stiff shoulders, I know he's thinking the same thing as I am; the impact of this house makes Ally's death more believable, it's only making us miss her more.

"Yoongi," I whisper. "She's not here."

With my last word, Yoongi throws a nearby vase across the corridor onto a wall, then he starts tearing the place apart.

"Yoongi," I say as softly as I can. "Please, stop."

He either doesn't hear me or is choosing to ignore me.

"Yoongi!" I begin to shout, trying to get near him without something being thrown at me. "Stop! This is all we have left of Ally and you're throwing it away!"

Yoongi hits the wall and slides down onto his knees. Soft sobs and whimpers echoes the empty corridor.
