"Well I take it you two will be getting along." Max grabbed my helping me up "but for now little buddy you mind if I steal her for myself?"
Peter gave max a nod and continued with his toys.  "He really likes you."

"Must be a family trait." I gave him a cocky smile while I sat down at the table.

"Hm I didn't think about that one." He laughed while placing the food on the table. Mac and cheese with peas. Howd he remember?

"My favorite" I glanced over at him as he winked at me.

"So there was something I wanted to talk to you about" my heart dropped.

"Oh yea? What about?" He reached across the table and grabbed my hands.

"We've been dating for a little while now and I thought we should take that next step." WHAT NEXT STEP WHAT DOES HE WANT, SEX?!?!

"Um excuse me?"

"No no it's not what you're thinking! I was gonna ask if you wanted to be my girlfriend?" Thank go- WHAT!!

"Oh my god of course!" I couldn't stop smiling. "I thought you'd never ask." I got up from the table, sat on his lap and before I knew it my lips were pressed up against his. It felt like a dream that I couldn't wake up from. I knew this man right here will forever be my anchor.
We opened our eyes after less than a minute. I know he probably didn't feel what I felt because this was my first kiss.

"I really love you ash." What did he just say? Tell me I heard him correctly. "You make me so so happy." I stared into his eyes. I knew he wasn't lying.

"I love you too cowboy."

We spent almost three hours at his house talking and watching tv and playing with peter. It was perfect.
Unfortunately the night came to end. I kissed him goodnight, I hopped on my bike and headed home. On my way up the driveway I noticed my aunt was home but there was another car I've never seen before. I stopped at the door and heard nothing but silence. I walked in to see him. The man I've never in a million years thought I'd see. "Hi dad".

"What are you doing here?! does john know you're here!!?! " my brother walked in with waters from the kitchen.

"I'm well aware."

"I'm sorry then why the hell is he still here. WHY WOULD YOU EVEN LET HIM IN?!"

"Ash listen to me ok" HE HAS SOME NERVE.

"NO NO I DONT WANT TO HEAR YOUR LIES. WE WERE KIDS DAD. WE WERE KIDS WITH NO MOM AND YOU JUST LEFT US WITHOUT SAYING WHERE YOU WERE GOING OR WHY YOU WERE LEAVING. WE HAD NO ONE BUT AUNT ROSE GROWING UP DO YOU KNOW WHAT THATS LIKE."

"I KNOW OK I KNOW. I messed up. But I'm here now and I want to get to know you now. "

"BULLSHIT!"

"ASHLEY LANGUAGE" my aunt screamed.

"NO IM DONE. YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU MISSED WHEN YOU WERE GONE WELL HERE YOU GO. JOHN STARTED DRUGS WHEN HE STARTED HIGH SCHOOL BECAUSE HE HAD NO MALE AUTHORITY TO BE BY HIS SIDE WHILE HE WAS PICKED ON FOR BEING SENSITIVE AND FAILING AT SPORTS. YOU WEREN'T THERE. AND EVERY NIGHT YOU WERE GONE I WAS PRAYING YOU WERE DEAD BECAUSE I KNEW THAT IF YOU WERE ALIVE... I WAS GONNA KILL YOU ANYWAYS." I grabbed my coat and ran out the door. I got on my bike and left.
