Glad You Came

Chapter 10

Nathan and I were the only one left in this, what seemed like a game. Who will be the last out?

"wow, "Nathan said "didn't see that coming guess we are the last ones standing."

The way he said it kind of sounded scary. What? What am I saying? I can't even think straight. But dude how lucky was I. Nathan Sykes was in my dorm room. And asked me for my number. His voice man. I just loved it so much even when he's just talking.

When he wasn't paying attention to me I watched him take of his New York hat and ruffle his perfect curly hair then put his hat back on. Then he looked up and realized I was fantasizing and smiled.

"Ally, it feels like I've known you forever," he scooted closer to me.

"Why do you say that, "I looked into his eyes.

"Well I guess it's because you have the qualities, I can tell at first sight. you seem very smart, you have a sense of humor and this undeniable innocence." I could feel with every word he said he was drawing me closer to him.

Oh yeah he had a way with words and I really wanted to kiss him but.......

"........I already know you are kind, down to earth and................."he kept going, our lips were just about to meet. So close but.............................................................................

I couldn't. I pulled away. It just wasn't right. There was something wrong. There was something in the back of my head that was telling me I wasn't in the right state of mind, or something, I wasn't thinking clearly things were unporportional in my eyes and it was weird. And I knew if I did this now with no one to stop me I would do something stupid.

"I'm not gonna kiss you Nathan ." I told

"Why not," he asked.

"Because I know what you are planning," I became suspicious.

"What is that?" he asked

"You are planning to sleep with me, I wasn't born yesterday ," I told a little unsure of what I was saying.

"No, I wasn't.." he tried but I cut him off again.

"Yeah you were, but I'm not gonna do it!" I exclaimed. Taking in the last sip of my wine cooler "I know where I'm going in life. I know where I'm heading and it's not a dead end!" I preached.

"Ally, I actually, "he tried again but I wasn't done.

"and since I'm not in my right mind, or whatever," I paused." just to make sure I won't sleep with you I will....sleep on the floor!"

"What?" He said.

"Yeah that's right the dirty floor". I got up from my bed and dragged off the cover and rolled myself up on the floor.

"Don't do this to..." he began.

"No, Nathan "I pulled my hand up to the sky. "Stop trying to seduce me!" I yelled.

And with that I could tell Nathan got angry. "I hadn't even thought of that at all," he said swinging his hand awkwardly. He looked powered out, but got a grip on himself. "I'm going to go throw water on my face" he said walking to the bathroom.

I heard the faucet turned on for like ten second then turn off. There was a quick silence until I heard an uncomfortable loud boom.

I tried to get up to go see if he was alright but could not pull myself out of my sleepiness. And before I could hit the ground I knew I was out.
