Yolanda and Audrey guided Jazz to a park nearby so they could get away from the tension between Zoe and Lydia. She hadn't asked anything, she didn't want to seem nosy, as she still was kind of a stranger to them as they were to her. So Jazz kept her mouth shut, without asking anything that had to do with their obvious rivalry.
All her questions were about the variety of flowers and trees that could be found in the park, she had always loved nature. Audrey answered most of the science facts and Yolanda voiced her opinion on aesthetics."Did you have art class in your school? I used to love them, they were the place were I could let my thoughts free... Could, as when I drew a rainbow with the phrase love is not a choice over it my teacher called my parents in a meeting and they asked me to leave the house because they don't support homosexuality." Yolanda mentioned, her eyes watering at the end and her bottom lip quivering, her small, delicate hands shaking. Jazz grabbed one of her hands and squeezed it, a comforting smile on his face.
"But you're ace..." she realized after patting her back.
"Yeah, but I'm still questioning what I am romantically, you know. I didn't have the courage to tell them. So yeah, they think I'm gay or whatever when I actually haven't liked anyone in a more than friends way." she shrugged and wiped a tear that had fallen to her left cheek, raising her eyebrows and sighting. "I'm such a coward."
"No, you're not." Audrey chimed in with anger in her voice "You are the best human being in existence." Yolanda eyed her sideways and laughed, but not a pleasant, sweet laugh. A big, false one. A sarcastic one. This had to be wrong, Yolanda wasn't one who used sarcasm.
"Yeah, even after the shop incident." she added, then turning away.
As she left towards the swings, Jazz noticed something weird. Two teenagers were sitting in a bench near them, giggling and looking at them.
"HAHA, GAAAYYY!" the guy shouted, pointing at Yolanda.
"Ugh, those are so disgusting." the girl added "How can you like someone your same gender?" she grabbed the guy's hand.
"Yeah? Then how can you like an idiot like him?" Audrey said sassily, snapping a finger and grabbing Jazz's hand, walking away.
"Oh my god, you are so extra." Jazz said with wide eyes, making the girl laugh.
"Let's get outta here." Audrey jogged out of the park "Landa just needs her alone time."
