That was for sure.
She didn't expect his return
So soon,
For him to fight his demons
So soon.
Her heart beat erratically;
What if it's not really over?
What if this is another trick?
What if he'll never win the fight
Against the Imperius?
Bellatrix did a number on her,
But it paled compared to how Draco had suffered
At the hands of evil.
But still,
The heart of the Princess
Of Red & Gold
Longed for the comfort
Only the Dark Prince
Could provide.
She smiled at the memories
Flooding through her mind;
Of secrets & love,
That blossomed after the war.
The sound of the doorbell
Cuts through her reminisce.
This is it.
She adjusted her dress,
Simple and white,
Just like their wedding day
With a deep breath,
Crosses the threshold
To meet her lover,
Her husband,
The father of the baby
Asleep upstairs,
After so long.
