I am an absolute idiot. Why I had decided to go with him, I have no idea.
It was those big green eyes I decided. They made me do stupid things. They made me forget just how mad I was at him. Granted, it wasn't exactly his fault that he left. It was the councils. But I was still mad all the same. He left me. He left me alone. And yet here I was holding his hand and acting like everything was fine.
"Why?" I suddenly blurted out. He looked up, surprised at me."Why what?" "Why did you leave me?" I asked staring up at him. He looked down, avoiding my gaze. "I tried Quinn. I did. But the council decided that it was better I stopped coming." "That had never stopped you before? You always disobey them, what was so different about this time?" We stopped walking and just looked at each other. He looked like he wanted to tell me something, but then decided not to. He broke my gaze and started to walk ahead of me. "I'm sorry Quinn. More sorry than I think you realize. But there's more to this than I think you understand. Can you just trust me? You have no idea how much it drove me crazy that I couldn't see you. And if there had been a way, you know I would have." I sped up so I was in front of him. I threw my arms around him. He rubbed my back and just held me. We stood like that for a while. Then I looked up at him. "Just promise me one thing, you won't do it again."
And with that he held my hand and we flashed out.
