My husband..
The words still rang in his ears. it had been 2 months he had moved away from the place, from her, from everything but it was just those 2 words he couldn't leave behind much to his loath. Betrayal was all he could remember of the time he had spent with her. What had he been thinking before trusting another woman again, his mind scoffed. He gulped down the contents of the glass in rage as her words and her actions played along. What was he to her.? Just someone she could sleep with. Perhaps, the only man who wanted her. His heart tugged at the thought. He found himself at the same place when once he had lost his love, his wife to another man because she had chosen to leave him behind. Yet again, he found himself right there only this time, she never belonged to him. Did he want her to.? His heart challenged. The thought of her belonging to someone else and not him was giving him the same pain he felt years ago much to his own percussion. What was she to him, just a mere stranger whom he knew nothing about, not even her name to begin with. He barely knew her for a few days, yet he couldn't get her out go memories even after the months he spent away from her. Even thought he had walked out of her house, he still felt like he was at her house with her on his lap, looking into his eyes squarely uttering those words. He had seen pain in them but it wasn't his place to be. The more it all played in front of his eyes, the more scorned he felt.
Raman..
A voice brought him out of his thoughts. He looked up to see a familiar figure looking at him. Realization dawned on him and a smile broke across his face after what felt like ages.
Abhimanyu..Abhi...
He looked up stunned to see him smiling down at him. He smiled as he got up and hugged him.
How come you are here.?
He asked breaking the hug.
Kapoor invited me here, who else. The last thing I imagined was I would be seeing you here of all the people Raman.
He heard his friend talk happily as the took the seat beside him ordering himself a drink.
Ishu...I'm here
He heard Abhi call out to someone behind him. He looked him to find him waving at someone behind him.
Where were you.? I've been looking for you since 15 mins Abhi. I don't even know anyone here.
He continued sipping his drink as he heard a woman approaching them. Abhi had a apologetic expression looking in the direction behind him.
I am sorry Ishu, I just got talking.
Abhi was apologizing. He turned to to his side to look at the duo only to be frozen at the spot he was sitting. It was her, just a few feet away from him. He felt his heart thud in anticipation, all this while he had spent thinking about her and now she was just inches away from him. Dressed in a black off shoulder floor length gown, her skin glowed. As he caught in her form, he felt himself standing at the same place he was the first time he had seen her. Just one look at her, he felt all the months of hatred and anger fading away. Her dress stuck to her curves, accentuating evert bit of his much to his annoyance. He looked away in rage when he felt himself loosing himself to her once again. It wasn't till Abhi called him that he realized that he was holding the glass in his hand too tight almost on the verge of breaking it.
