"Oh, hi, Rani." Sarah Jane smiled as I walked down in my school uniform. "Oh, handbag." Sarah Jane wandered off to find it.
"Is she freaking out much?" Rani asked.
"No, she's fine." Luke smiled. "Besides, she'll have Emma."
"What about you, Luke?" I asked. I couldn't help but be worried for my adopted brother. And those strange dreams...
"Luke?" Rani asked. Luke admitted he had a nightmare the previous night. "What? I thought you couldn't dream."
"Neither did I." Luke agreed. "The Bane didn't include it in my genetic makeup."

"Have you told Sarah Jane?" I asked as I straightened my tie. "This is huge."
"It's just a dream. Everyone has them. Don't they?"
"Yeah, I suppose it must be because you're leaving home." I told him.
"Have you had any dreams, Emma?"
"They seem to be more like flashbacks."
"So you're remembering the life you used to live?" Luke asked.
"Sort of. I can't remember most of it, or if it happened at all."

We walked to school and Rani went to talk to Clyde. Why was 147 significant? What happened to those people? What powers did I have? I decided to leave these questions for another time. It's not like I can answer them on my own, anyway.

I knew that it was going to happen if I went to Earth. But I wasn't scared, not of Mum, not of anyone. Nothing was going to stop me. I could do what I liked. I decided to go after one of the Doctor's companions, someone who was leading an interesting life. But, first, I had to do some research. Besides, if I stick around for some time, then maybe Mum will think I'm not going to Earth. There was a Tegan, in Australia, fighting for Aboriginal Rights. Ben and Polly, in India, running an orphanage, Harry, a doctor. Though he had been missing for several years. How was I going to find him? A Dorothy  Gale, running a company, A Charitable Earth. Ian and Barbara Chesterton, who have not aged since the sixties. A few interesting people, but I was trying to find someone who was still living the life they used to live. Then, I found exactly what I was looking for.

SARAH JANE SMITH

The bell woke me from my thoughts. Why would I go after one of the Doctor's companions? Who was he? Why would I be scared of my own mother? I headed to my lesson. I decided not to tell anyone about it. It was my problem, so I had to deal with it.

Maybe I ought to let Sarah Jane know that this is happening. I think I should tell her everything I can remember. But was she the person I was looking for? And that still didn't answer the question about what powers I had.
