Prologue

"No Alpha!"
Huh...? I was awoken from my peaceful slumber to hear my father crying for help. I scrambled out of my bed, running as fast as I could to the sound of my father's painful cries.

As I got closer, his cries grew louder, my heart racing beyond measure...Panic, pure panic ran through my veins replacing my crimson blood.

But as I reached my destination the sight before me almost made me cry myself. My father, my rock, lay on the floor bloody and bruised with Alpha Jackson menacingly standing over him. "Daddy!" I screamed. "Tsk tsk tsk...little Mia, what are you doing out of bed? Shouldn't a sweet little thing like you be asleep by now?" Said the Alpha in a rather menacing way might I add.
"Alpha please let my father go..please.." I got down on my knees and pleaded.
"Mia baby, please, go back inside" cried a familiar voice. The voice that sang me lullabies to sleep each night when I was younger. And it broke my heart to hear my mother's voice so sad.

At that moment my mother began pleading to the Alpha for him to spare me and my father. "Shut up Amanda! You are mine and he wants you, therefore I can't let him live!"
What the Alpha said shocked me beyond limits, aren't my mother and father mates? And wasn't the Alpha and his deceased Luna mates?
Just then my father broke me out of my thoughts, "She can't be yours Leon, she's my mate and Sarah is dead! Your mate is dead!" Bellowed my father, as he severely twisted the Alpha's ankle resulting in my father finally raising himself to his feet as the Alpha fell to the ground with a heavy thump.
As my father started running toward my sobbing mother, Alpha Jackson abruptly stood up and swiped him a clawed hand across his back successfully puncturing his heart and lungs. I ran to my father, fell to my knees and screamed...a piercing scream tore through my throat. I looked at the Alpha and he smirked and walked away with a happy pep to his step. I looked to my mother and she lay next to fathers bleeding body crying uncontrollably.

"No daddy.. Please don't leave us, please be alright." I said crying.
"I will be princess.. but you have to take care of your mommy.... now and make... sure she's alright and be sure to protect ...her ok." Daddy said in between coughs. I just nodded my head yes.
"And remember you're special...a princess..I love you both.." He said looking between my mother and I.
"No Travis baby no, don't.." My mom sobbed.

He just smiled at us before his body went limp.

"No!" My mom and I both said followed by a sharp pain in my head and heart before darkness washed over me.

And guess what?

I welcomed it.
