Looking around for something, anything I can use at my advantage to break through that thick barrier because it stands between me and finding my best friend.
I search until I find what I assume used to be the pack house as it is completely trashed, all the walls and what was once beautiful furniture is utterly tarnished. Curiosity spikes within me as I gather that no one has been in here for at least a few months.

After opening every door in the house, I come across a storage room, filled with tools and pesticides, searching around I finally find a sledgehammer and it takes all the strength I have to take it back to the little window.
With the moonlight shining brightly on me, illuminating the window, I use all my power, lift the sledge and strike!
Blow after blow, after blow rains down upon the thick board until it starts to crack. When most of it breaks apart, I drop the hammer with a heavy thud and start pawing at the pieces that are still bolted to to the concrete structure.

After I take apart the wood I realize that there is still a glass in the window frame, shutting my eyes and taking a deep breath, I fist my hand and punch through the glass with everything I have.
A striking pain shot through my arm but I ignored it and slid through the window landing gracefully on my feet.
Looking up through my lashes, my breathing stills, as I take in the sight before me.

There are people, one hundred, maybe more.

Men, women, children. All these wolves kept in here look so pale and sick as though they are not being fed.

Shutting my eyes, I try to compose myself.
Hearing the soft cries, I heard earlier, I walk in that direction, letting my feet carry me to it's destination. Everyone in the room watching my every move. I stop at a very skinny woman, she's dirty, bruised and starved just as everyone else in this room but she's beautiful nevertheless. Tucked safely in her arm, is a beautiful baby boy, although his mother is lacking her strength and nutrients she isn't depriving her son of it at all. He looks strong and healthy, obviously being breastfed.

"What's his name?" I ask softly, smiling at her, trying to reassure her that I mean no harm to her child.
"Tim," she says, a ghost of a smile briefly crosses her face.
I smile, "He's gorgeous," I say.

I turn around swiftly as I feel a light tap to my shoulder, coming face to face with a woman that appears to be in her mid forties, although I can't tell because the only light is the moonlight from the window I just broke through.
She gives me a broken smile, touches my left cheek in a motherly way and says, "Go home sweetie, you don't belong here,"
I shake my head at her and say, "Yes, yes I do," I say smiling at her. "Can you all help me though? My best friend was taken a while ago and I tracked her scent here, she's about 5'8", strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes."

The woman whose name I still don't know turns to a young man in about his early twenties and they exchange a sad smile.
"Yes, we saw her, they brought her here then they came and took her. We're very sorry but, you should leave while you can, it's not safe for a beautiful, young woman like yourself."
She said looking between me and the window, as if silently pleading for me to leave but I shake my head defiantly like a child would. I can't leave, not when I'm this close to finding Kim and helping these innocent wolves.

"Please child, please leave, you have no idea what will happen if he finds you," She says with pleading eyes. Who's this "he" she's referring too?

Just when I'm about to question her, the door bursts open and the same men that took Kim walk in smirking at me.

Damn.
