Chapter Eighteen

It was late at night. And you had waken up out of your sleep after hearing the Tv static. "Ah the power must have went out." You thought to yourself after realizing what happened.

It had been storming badly and the wind was harsh so you already thought this would happen. You tried to get up but realized Luhan was still holding you slightly. So instead you just sat there.

"Lu.." You called out.
"LuLu.." You called once more.

"Hm.." He moved tiredly while still having his eyes close. "Don't you want to sleep in bed? It's a little chilly." You insist. Luhan twist and turned before he reached out to pull you in to lay with him. "Lu.." You mumbled.

"You're warm enough." He tiredly smiled with his raspy voice.. Yet still it was nice and he was gentle.

Noticing he was teasing you, you tried to get up out of the couch again. Yet Lu grabbed your arm. You looked at him as his eyelashes started to get heavy again. you moved your arm from out of his grasp.

You got a drink of water then quietly tip toed to your bedroom.

Laying there, you looked out of the window. There weren't that many stars out..yet the sky itself was still so beautiful.

You felt yourself feel a small warmth in your heart again... Or was that just Luhan getting into the bed with you?

"What ya thinking about..?" Luhan warm breaths crawled up your back as he spoke.

"Happiness..I think.." You mumbled back. "Hmm.. Does it involve me?" He chuckled tiredly. You turned around to face him. Although it was quite dark you could still see his face a little bit.

"Nope." You teasingly replied. Lu frowned then smiled. He lift up a little and looked down at you. You both just stared out the window for a little while.

Admiring the moment it seemed.
Luhan looked back at you, who was facing the window still.  He gently placed a kiss on your neck. You jumped at his sudden actions. Earning a small smile back from him.

"I love you so much." He whispered in your ear.

You felt happy yet sad at the same time. He sounded so tired..yet so different.

You looked him in the eyes as he still gave you that warm and gentle smile.

"Lu.."
"Yes.." He replied.

"Is something bothering you?"
You questioned. Luhan blanked out for a moment then smiled once more while planting his lips onto yours.

"What makes you ask that?"  He replied.

Being that you've known Lu for such a long time....you could easily tell when something was off.

Slowly

His lips began to play with yours as if he was trying to keep them shut.

"Lu...Luhan.. " you said in between kisses. You pushed his shoulders back. Signaling him to stop, as he did.

You both looked at each other as his eyes began to get watery. "Lu.." You said in concern. His expression looked so hurt ...you thought that maybe your heart might just break. He pulled you into a hug and held you tightly.

"Don't laugh ok.." He started to wipe the tears away before they almost fell. "I won't I promise." You held his hands. "I know it's dumb...but I had a bad dream about you.." He mumbled.
"You were gone..just gone and it was just..." He looked down. "It was all my fault. I was just to late again.."

You smiled lightly then held his chin up. It was obvious what Luhan was thinking of.

It was your parents.

"The past is the past Lu, nothing is your fault." You played with his hair a little. "But (y/u) if I was just there a little faster I could've-"

"No, if you weren't there, I wouldn't have been able to meet such a wonderful person today." You cut him off.

Luhan starred  at you then squeezed your hands tighter.

His forehead touched yours slightly. Before he chuckled out. "Why am I letting you see me like this.." You smiled back then squeezed his cheeks.

"YAH!" He shouted out.
"You big baby." You teased.
"I'm not."
"You are."
"I'm not."
"Yes you are."
You teased him.

Sooner or later he gave up seeing that he wouldn't win this fight. You felt yourself drifting back to sleep slowly.

You looked back up at Luhan who was looking at you still.

"Don't have a bad dream again ok.." You mumbled.

"Yeah yeah..." Luhan said tiredly. He felt himself falling asleep as well.

But looking at you made him think that maybe, just maybe...

You were his dream come true.

Thought you guys needed some time to yourself ~

Probably won't be writing another chapter until a few days or maybe after tomorrow ~ I need some ideas/ I'm working on my Jimin fic to ✨
