The yearbook club tried to have meetings a least twice a week during lunch. With their lunch in hand, Bridget and Effy made their way to the art room to join the others.
"Okay, let's begin!" Mr. Morris called out as he came into the classroom with a thermos of chicken noodle soup.
He made his way to his desk, shoveling quick scoops into his mouth before he finally began.
"Julie," he called out, "tell me where we are. How are we doing?"
Julie put her sandwich down and covered her mouth as she quickly chewed and swallowed. "Well, we already have most of the outlining. We just need some pictures now."
"Awesome!" He congratulated as he sat on the front of her desk. "Sarah? Mitchell? You got that?"
Sarah and Mitchell nodded.
"Great."
Blair Winchester raised her hand suddenly.
"Yes, Blair?"
"We still need pictures of the foreign exchange students and transfer students."
"Right, and those would be..." Mr. Morris murmured as he grabbed the clipboard next to him and scanned the sheet of paper. "Maurus Held, Merle Florek, Wo Chen, Ian McKinsey, and Dean Joseph. So, does anyone have any classes with any of these students?"
"We have English with Wo Chen." Sarah raised her hand and called out for her and Mitchell.
"Okay, Sarah and Mitchell for Wo," he said as he clicked the end of his pen and began writing their names.
Alexis raised her hand next for Maurus, then Jackson for Ian and Merle. Mr. Morris happily took their names down, pleased with how fast the meeting was already going.
Effy was in the middle of scribbling in her planner when she heard Bridget's voice call out suddenly. "Lizzy has physical science with Dean Joseph!"
"Bridget!" Effy hissed as her eyes widened.
"What?" she asked innocently.
"Perfect!" Mr. Morris smiled and wrote down her name as well.
"No," Effy suddenly found herself calling out. "uhm, that's not perfect, actually, because Dean doesn't even show up for class. So..."
She thought for sure it had something to do with his strong dislike for her.
"Oh... well, then try to catch him at lunch or after school if you can."
"Oh, she can. They're friends—Ow!." Bridget suddenly hissed when Effy kicked her ankle under the table.
