There once was a lonely lawn flamingo. This flamingo couldn't move, for it was made of a bright pink plastic, with long, skinny sticks as legs. There was a problem with this flamingo though. It could feel; physically and emotionally.

Now, you may think, "How is it a problem, this is a miracle!". The problem is, the flamingo couldn't move, nor it could talk. It was alone with it's own thoughts in someone's huge garden. The flamingo was surrounded by plants; bold greens and bright blues all around them. The flamingo was put by the rose bushes. The flamingo didn't complain, they loved the garden. But they hated not being able to see the rest of it all, for they could not turn their long neck. They stayed like this for a long time.

As the days turned to weeks turned to years, they wondered if they were ever going to see anything new. They watched as the bird flew above, watching as they soared gracefully through the sky - yet he never saw a flamingo in the air.

They watched as sometimes the owners would throw outdoor parties, the lanturns and music and the dancing. How they loved those days. The days where something new happened. But those only lasted for so long. Back to normal the next morning.

More years pasted. They noticed the roses trailing upwards to their legs, and soon began wrapping around their torso. The small needles digging into their skin, leaving small scars and holes in them. They cried when this happened. But the tears only watered the roses, making them grow faster.

Time went on and soon enough, they were surrounded in roses and needles all over them. They just wanted a realise. Finally, the flamingos time was up. They looked up at the sky and started flying away. They were free. They traveled the world, seeing everything the world had to offer. They had left their pink, plastic body behind. Soon, the owners took notice of the flamingo and said,

"Look at how well the roses grew"
