{author note: Hey, sorry this took so long and it's so short. I think I have writers block or something. Anyway, here's chapter 8!}
Chapter 8 a wedge further drawn
Zoe helped Twist to a chair and grabbed her first aid kid and medicines. She cleaned and bandaged his ankle wound. It was pretty bad and she figured that he'd probably need to keep off it a while.
"So what's your name? I'm Zoe," Zoe asked him once she was done taking care of his ankle. He looked from his ankle to me.
"Twist," he said. His name peeked her interest.
"That's a cool name. How'd you get it?"
"I got it because no one can keep a hold On me for long,"
"Cool," she said, standing up. "So, you hungry Twist?" Said person nodded. She went to the kitchen and made some more pancakes, then brought them back to Twist. "Here ya go." Twist smiled at her and took the plate. Before he could thank her Tommy walked in.
"Really Zoe?! Another one?!" He said angrily. Another one? Twist thought as he listened. Zoe sighed and turned to her brother.
"He got caught in one of YOUR dum slug traps, Tommy! It was only right that I help him!" she said crossing her arms.
"They aren't dumb! And he isn't staying for long," Tommy said with a firm tone. She just brushed it off.
"Oh grow up!" She said and walked into another room. Tommy fumed and shot a glare at Twist, who suddenly felt a little uncomfortable being there. Tommy growled and stormed off back to his room. Twist started to wonder about the other one they had mentioned. That had to've been Eli.
Twist stood up, despite the pain in his ankle and hopped as quietly as possible to the room Zoe had gone into. Peaking in while balancing on one foot, he saw exactly who he had been looking for. He found Eli Shane, and better yet a fairly injured one.
Smirking, he reached for his phone to call Blakk, but lost his balance and fell into the room with a thud, turning both Zoe's attention and Eli's attention toward him, the latter being the one he was really worried about seeing him.
