Gringotts - 29/07/1996
"Sir?" Asked Harr-Hadrian blankly, maybe that would take some getting used to he thought. He kept his expression blank as he moved to sit in a chair beside the desk that had been gestured to him. The assistant goblin closed the door with a click. "It is my first and foremost duty to offer you our sincerest apology for being unable to inform you of your heritage." Spoke the goblin, leaning forward onto his short, bony arms. Hadrian gave a short nod in acceptance of the apology and gestured for the creature to begin. "Mr Gold- Snape-"
"- Mr Gold," interrupted Hadrian.
"Mr Gold," began the goblin with an apologetic smile, or what Hadrian though was one, "I am afraid to inform you that Gringotts was, and still is, prohibited from relaying you the information you have just learnt by Albus Dumbledore. You have provided us a loop hole by coming to us and taking a blood test upon your own will and instigation. If my understanding serves me correctly you have discovered you are adopted?" Upon receiving a short nod of confirmation the elderly goblin continued to explain in detail the banks methods and rituals of cleansing him of the blocks and glamours. They took a short trip through the same cold, blank passageways. Turning his head towards the goblin, whom he had learnt was name Rangok, he studied him. Shoulders back, head high. He was the epitome of a goblin leader. Several turns later and they arrived in an empty stone room. Empty, that is, until Hade looked to the floor in the middle of the room and saw a raised white marble platform. It appeared big enough to fit roughly two people lying beside each other. He stepped into the room and walked towards the platform. He spun on the ball of his foot and dropped graciously down to a sit before falling back onto his back and closing his eyes. Acting upon the unspoken order Rangok began waving his wand over the wizards body in a pattern of extravagant flicks that resulted in a soft glow that encased Hadrian's body. Many painless minutes later and the strong glow began to fill the room, causing the usual proud and cold magical creature to fall to the floor in submission.
Pure magic pulses around the room before Hadrian pulled it back into himself. He twitched as the healing magic prodded his body and seemingly stripped layers of foreign magic off his outer body. A lingering tingle continued to resonate in his bones and he swung his legs off the platform and rose to stand. Rolling his shoulders and cracking his neck Hadrian allowed the feeling of reduced weight and freedom to consume him for a short time. "A mirror, Young Lord." Bowed Rangok, conjuring a mirror encased in gold leaf. Hadrian took two strong steps to stand before the mirror. Looking into the mirror a muscular, tanned teen with sharp, aristocratic face features, emerald green eyes with black and gold flecks and jaw length, jet black hair that had a soft and silky shine stared back at him. Hadrian however, decided that the best of this new appearance was a distinct lack of a lightening bolt shaped scar. All signs of malnutrition had vanished and left behind the solid muscles that had inevitably been built from Quidditch but hidden by malnutrition. Hadrian allowed himself a minute to admire the way his body seemed to fill his robe, muscles visibly bulging beneath when he moved. His relatively common and plebeian robes clashed with his regal appearance and he decided that he would need to fix that immediately.
Finally he pulled his eyes away from the mirror and turned to face Rangok. "Thank you for your expertise and generosity, I shall be leaving now." The creatures eyes brightened and he quickly fell into a bow, "allow me to walk you, Mr Gold." It was in that moment, as he gave the goblin a firm nod, that he decided that reading those books on goblin etiquette had payed off after all.
Diagon Alley - 29/07/1996
The sunlight blinded Hadrian and danced off his robe as he strode down the steps of Gringotts. It was a free feeling, walking around without the stares on his scar. He decided he liked it very much.
After a trip to Knockturn Alley and a very questionably wand shop, Hade finished his day in a full, grimy room of the Leaky Cauldron. A successful day.
