Chapter 6

I unlocked the door to my house and threw my back pack on the couch. I pulled out my phone and called my mom.

"Hello?" she answered in a light voice.

"Hey mom it's me To-"

"Toby Bean!!!" I winced and pulled the phone away from me ear for a second."How are you? How was school? Did you make any friends? Do you like your teachers?"

"I'm fine, school was fine, kinda, not really."

"So what's goin on? Any cute girls at your school?"

Yes! I could picture her now. Her blonde hair, her funky personality and the way her glasses fit her face perfectly. WAIT! That's Jackie!!

"Yeah." I blushed a little.

"AAAAAWWW MY LITTLW BOY IS GROWING UP!!!!" she screamed "What's her name?"

"Emma Brath."

"What color are her eyes?"

"Blue."

"Her hair?"

"Bouncy, curly, and red."

"Group?"

"Popular." I whispered.

"Mhmm. What about those friends of yours?"

"Well there are a few people." I told her about Josh and Jackie and them. "Oh and Josh wants to know of I can go over to his house. Pleeease!!!"

"Well I don't know....." long pause."Oh all right!!"

"YESS!! I love you mom!!"

"Love you too Toby bean."

I hung up and did a silent fist pump and called Josh's number that was on my hand.

"Hey Emma!" I sat next to her in home ec.

"Oh hey Toby!" she smiled.

"Uhm.. I was wondering..." I twiddled my thumbs, "will you go out with me?"

She smiled a really big smile and nodded yes.

I just stared at her with wide eyes. She leaned in to kiss me. Our faces were inches apart when I herd the door burst open.

I stared at Jackie in the door way. Her hair was messy and she had a chainsaw. "But Toby I thought you loved me." She turned her head. "Well now you will!!"

She turned on the chainsaw and lunged towards my girlfriend.

"NOOO!!!"

I groaned and hit my alarm clock. I got ready for school and was about to open the front door but my mom stopped me and slipped something in my hand. She smiled and I knew what it was already. I nodded and went to my car.
