I pulled my leather jacket tighter over my thin shoulders. The night air was blowing strongly causing my hair to be whipped around my face. The lights flickered and the streetlights cast shadows along the cracked sidewalks. I glanced behind me casually and flicked on the hood of my jacket and started walking along the sketchy stores and rushing next to alleys. I could have sworn I saw one of them following me out of my apartment. That means they knew were I was and my own home wasn't safe anymore. When I caught site of a shadow I turned down a dark alley way and pressed my back against the wall, pulling myself into the darkness.

"I could have thought I saw her. It fit the description of the poster. Tall, thin and red hair." I smirked. The hood and tight French braid worked like they were suppose to be.The man was silhouetted against the street lamp. He was tall and had a handsome looking face. Not that i would go after someone who was trying to capture me.

"What about the eyes." Another voice snarled and I knew that he was a Snatcher. The rough growl in his throat and the tall and hulking frame gave away what he was. Snatchers were always looking for escaped experiments.

"What about her eyes?" the other voiced asked and the Snatcher growled.

"Gold, you idiot. And be carful with it." It. I hated that. I was more than a name and a number. The lab never realized it. "She's lethal, but burns quickly." he laughed at his own joke and I scoffed.

The Snatcher looked up and turned his ebony eyes on my and I started moving. It was a flight or fight response and I was in no shape to take up a Snatcher.

"Did you here that" he asked and I kept walking as there voice kept moving

I turned back and bumped into someone and felt the familiar spark in my hands that made my hands warm.

"Well well well. You're a wanted little girl." I smirked and looked up into icy blue eyes and a devious smirk as the man gripped my forearms. "Stealing things, arson and assault. What do you have to say for that, Ember?" this was not good at all. He knew my name. I pulled away quickly and turned around, seeing the Snatcher and his pal walking down the alley.

"Move, please" I gritted out and the man only smirked bigger.

"Sorry Ember. But I have strict instruction to bring you to my boss." he told me and casually lifted me up and tossed me over his shoulder before snapping his fingers. I caught the silver glow that formed around us and gasped.

"You're a Traveler." I said and he set me down when we appeared in a new room. It was still dark but did not have the strong medical smell the lab did. He set me down and looked around.

"I'm on your side Ember, don't worry and try not to burn the merch. I'm sure I'll still look attractive without them, but you know I won't."

A light flicked on and I finally got a good look at his face. Same familiar blonde hair, icy blue eyes and tall stature.

"Blake." I gasped and he smiled.
