The Powers I Didn't Want

Why did I do this?

I can hardly remember what happens next. Most of it is a blur. Lets start with what I do remember. I ran into the camp then slowed down when I saw...

"Sam! I haven't seen you in so long!  You'll never believe what just happened to me!" I shout when I seen my previous best friend, Sam. We were besties before I was forced out of the camp.

"Josie! What are you doing here? You know how many people want you dead? No offence, but you made a mistake coming back here." Sam says with a worried look on her face. She usually cheers me up, but now shes just scareing me.

"Really? Haven't they gotten over it by now?"

"Nope, they still send out search-" before Sam can finish her sentance she is cut off by a large man running at me.

"Josie! I've been waiting too long to find you! I'm gonna get you!" Suddenly Sam pushes me towards the path out and takes off her hat.

I run towards the exit. Sam follows me shouting, "Back off! Back off or I'll take off my glasses too! Get away! Get away!" I here her stop, and I get worried. I'm about to turn around and see what happened but I am struck in the head.

I don't remember anything for a long while. All I remember are bits and peices of things.

" Ha ha! I've been saving this cell for you for a long while. To bad you won't be in it very long!" My old teacher says. She was one of the people who tried to kill me before. "You'll be dead before long! Ha ha ha ha!"

"Josie? Are you ok? They say they are gonna kill you tomorrow, but don't worry, I'll get us out of here before then. I promise I'll find a way!" Thats Sam talking to me, I can tell by her voice.

...

"Josie? It's me, your mom. I came here to find you. Now is probably not a good time to say I told you so, but I kinda did. Here, let me get you out of there."

The next thing I remember must be awhile away, because I'm in the sky, I'm with my parents.

"Shes dead! Just kill her please! Or you can let me!?"

"No Ares, your a foul beast, now leave!" That was my fathers voice, I reconized it.

"What do you expect? I'm the god of war in case you've forgoten."

"How can we?" Says my mother.

"I can heal her if she is hurt." That was Apollo, it must've been, he is the god of healing. I have done my research on all of the gods, because I figured this day might come. Suddenly everyone starts talking and I guess who each god is."

"Want me to find out what she is dreaming about?" That must be Hermes.

"Lets let her awaken on her own. No need to hurt her in anyway." Hestia no doubt.

"I can sing her a song if you want." Must be Apollo again.

Eventually I get bored and sit up alittle. They all notice right away.

"Are you okay honey?" My mom has a way of talking like a regular mom even though shes not.

"Yeah, what happened? Where's Sam?"

"She is in the other room resting, she got some bumps and bruses, but nothing like you. He hit you hard. Are you sure your okay? Do you need anything?" My mom says softly.

"Nothing more to see here I guess. Your not gonna need me, are you?" That is Hades talking. He is the god of the underworld. He is asking if I'm gonna die.

"No, Hades, she isn't gonna need you. Are you possitive your okay?" Athena, my mom, is being so nice to me, it almost makes me want to forgive her for what she did.

"If you change your mind you can have Hermes bring you down." Hades left for the underworld. I have to say I didn't miss him when he left.

"I'm fine mom, really. I just need alittle rest."

"Okay, come on outside when you feel up to it, and don't be afraid to shout if you need anything." I fall straight to sleep after my mom says that then everyone leaves.
