•Diana's POV•

I walk behind my mate, the demon. I had never expected that my path would cross his, not when I would be walking these grey London streets. Not in this century. Not in this life time. Truly speaking, a misfortunate turn of events. The only positive factor is that I am guaranteed to be kept safe with his presence.

Ghouls, just like any other non-human species have an aura surrounding them, it is to be used in order to show our dominance or power and it is unique to ourselves, just like an fingerprint to a human. To simply put, the stronger the being, the more powerful their aura becomes which means it has the power to conceal the weaker aura. Unfortunately I am wanted by varies of other species and I can easily be detected if I'm not careful.

Demons naturally have stronger auras compare to ghouls, so by simply staying by his side, I can rest assured that I won't have to look over my shoulder.

My eyes trail down to the outline of his shoulders as we walk; he walks tall, full of confidence. I find myself studying the features he have chosen to appear as. A handsome man which is irresistible to humans. Quite clever, humans are quite weak to beauty. I know that women gush at his features, not knowing what darkness lays within, truly.

He walks ahead as I walk two steps behind. I notice the smoothness of his hair, they dont reflect the gentle amber lights of the street. His eyes fixed on the path ahead, his lips no longer in form of a smirk.

They say that within seconds, you are able to be one with your other half; to know what is on their mind in order for the bond to grow thicker. Maybe it is due to him being a demon...because I cannot read him. And it terrifies me.

We reach the Earl's residence within London and it is just as I expected from a nobleman. A luxurious home within the most expansive part of London. We walk past the small gates and walk up the stairs towards the door, the lights peaking through the windows and small cracks of the door.

He unlocks the door and opens it wide for me. I slightly squint my eyes due to the bright lights. "My Lady," His smile returns, waiting for me to enter.

I return the smile, raising my skirt in order to step through the door. the luxury within the manor is no stranger to me, I rather say I prefer this than the grey room I own. "So kind of you." I say, the interior decor having my attention as I hear him closing the door behind him.

"Please this way, my master is waiting for you in his study room." He motions towards the stairs, taking off his coat. he walks behind me, reaching for my shoulders and slowly slipping my coat off of me. I try to have my eyes focused on the golden frame that holds the mirror to ignore how his gaze is burning through my skin. I know he wishes to claim me but his duties keep him at bey, and I cannot help but be grateful.

I feel myself relaxing when he moves away. After hanging our coats, he leads through the halls and I follow. The walk is short, and every painting upon the walls are quite beautiful so it is obvious that they are quite pricy.

My mate stops before the dark grey double doors, his hand holding the knob before knocking twice. "I have arrived, my lord. I have brought the guest you requested." He informs with his voice deep.

"Come in." We both hear. He opens the door, walking inside first, keeping the door open for me. My eyes are quick to find the small blue eye of a young boy the moment my shoes hits the soft carpet; thirteen or fourteen years old, one eye covered with an eyepatch. "So, this is the monster which is lurking within streets of London. It's quite hard to believe, considering her beauty of course." Ceil Phantomhive says amusingly as he watches me from head to toe. "Quite angelic looking for the horrific scenes you've created."
