*MINOR SPOILER FROM MANGA AHEAD*
"Master, did you wish to see me?" Sebastian asks before stepping inside his masters office. The room is filled with aroma of strong tea and a hint of sweetness and a heavy tension.
"Yes, I have." Ciel says before finishing writing the final sentence on the paper and leaning back against his seat before looking up towards his butler. "How is her behaviour?" He means Diana. It has been two weeks since her arrival and Sebastian has been ordered to monitor her single move, and like a loyal demon, he has obeyed without fail.
"She is guarded, yet is not hostile. She doesn't step out of line, does not leave the manor unless I accompany her. She also hasn't tried to smuggle a message to the outside. She is keeping secrets and tells white lies, nothing harmful as of yet."
Ciel l nods, his brows beginning to knit together. "And her feeding?" He crosses his legs as he questions.
Sebastian gives a calm smile before continuing. "No innocent civilian has been harmed."
"That is good news." Ciel lets out a sigh before beginning to rub his chin as he thinks of how much he needs to see, how much risk he needs to take in order to see that she is not a cause of concern. Recruiting her was a calculated move, however her being bonded to his chained demon was not. The only relief of all this would be that Sebastian is bound to him by contract which means he doesn't need to concern himself with the possibility of being torn to shreds by Diana, but he refuses to rule out the possibilities.
Sebastian watches his master think and he doesn't need words to know what kind of thoughts are roaming his mind. He is fully aware that his master has not fully accepted Diana's presence despite it being his initial plan before the discovery of her bond to him; Ciel had counted on being able to get rid of her at any time he saw fit, but now that plan has changed.
"Build an underground dungeon. separate to the one we already have." Ciel orders.
"Anxiousness never looked good on you, young master." Sebastian smiles in amusement.
Ciel lets out a snort at that remark. "I have no need to be. I can have you chain her to the walls whenever I wish, isn't that right?" his voice holds no amusement despite the smile on his lips.
"For as long as you wish." Sebastian does not waver, neither does his eyes. He only needs her to stay alive. That's all it matters.
Ciel lets out a heartfelt giggle, his hands going to cover his mouth before it turns into a chuckle. He shakes his head in amusement as he watches his butler's indifferent reaction to his order. He finds it utterly disgusting. "What a lucky woman," he says with a smile after his chuckles come to a stop. "To be soulfully bonded to such a caring demon. It may cause others to become jealous."
Sebastian shrugs. "I thought you'd be pleased by my unwavering commitment to our contract, my lord."
Ciel hums as he grabs one of the papers from his desk, looking towards the letter but not really reading them. "I suppose it is an extreme advantage to me," his eyes meets his demons. "And a huge shame for her." Ciel then reaches and tabs his empty teacup.
Without a word Sebastian swiftly pours him a hot tea with fresh set of cookies before taking the paper work from before him and piling them neatly away from the tea that may spill.
"Tell me," Ciel picks up his teacup, taking a sip. "How does this soul bond with you demons work?" He eyes the demon who does not say anything expect from tilting his to the side while holding his chin.
"Hmm, it's hard to say. I'm afraid you have to be more specific."
"Is it love? Obsession? What is it exactly that you feel towards her?" Ciel takes a bite of his cookie before taking another sip of his tea. He needs information, knowing which lines is possible to cross and which not. He knows that Sebastian is bound to him by the contract to never harm him, but he refuses to rely on that. It is impossible to know what loopholes this creature may find.
