Smosh does the apocalypse

Chapter 2

Courtney's P.O.V

Shayne and I looked down from the second floor of a building to the streets below was terrifying, they were everywhere. I saw out the corner of my eye to people under a camper trailer looking around and starting to get out from under the trailer, what are they doing, did they not check properly, they are everywhere around them. I started to run around the building trying to find the stairs so I could go downstairs and help them, "Courtney! Where are you going?!" I turn really quickly and Shayne is standing there "there's a couple down there and they're about to walk into the biggest zombie ambush I've ever seen."

I wasn't about to let them die "I'm not risking my life for these people I don't even know," this always frustrated me about Shayne because he was always out for himself, which is never the worst thing in this world but I just wish he would think about others every once in a while. He sighed and walked up to me "Courtney, I promised dad I would keep you safe and I'm not going to let you risk your life for people that we don't know anything about." I get where he was coming from, but I wasn't about to let some people die while I just stood here and did nothing.

"Well, Shayne. Unlike you I will not willingly stand by whilst there are some people out there about to die, so you can either come with me and help them or stay up here like a coward and watch." The second I said this I grabbed my axe and started running down the stairs to help those people, "Courtney!" I turned around and saw Shayne running down the stairs after me, "I will always keep the promise I made to dad and look after my baby sister... I'm coming with you. But the second any danger arises, we run. Deal?" I knew he wouldn't let me go unless I agreed "Fine, but we don't come back without them."

Shayne's P.O.V

I can't believe I'm doing this, I can't believe that I'm letting Courtney do this. I knew there was no stopping her though, once she got an idea in her head there was no detering her from that path without knocking her out. I followed her down the stairs and out the doors, I grabbed her hand quickly pulling her back seeing a swarm of zombies walking past the door. "Wait a minute" I whispered to her, we waited for a couple of seconds and they slowly walked past the door giving us the opportunity to quickly but silently sneak by them.

We walked around the back of the trailer and I looked around the corner to see them both close together holding hands, I almost felt like we were about to commit a kidnapping but I knew how to execute this properly to get both of them out of here, "ok, all we need to do is grab the girl around the waist and lightly pull her away, she is holding onto the guys hand pretty well so he will just turn around and we can hopefully get them to follow us." We started to move forward, we were stepping as lightly as we could, I put my arm around her waist and pulled her, within seconds her hand came out of the guys hand and she started to squirm while calling out to him.

I prayed that he would turn around and see this because we didn't want to leave him "Shayne, what are you doing?" Courntey whispered to me "We've been out here for too long now, we really have to go now" I knew she wanted to leave with both of them but I am not putting her at risk, "But... we can't leave without him." I knew she didn't want to leave and I was starting to loose grip on the girl in my arms, "there is no way for us to get to him safely now." I saw a determined look in her eyes, she wasn't going to go without him.

Courtney's P.O.V

I knew that Shayne wanted to leave but I wasn't going to leave him here, I refused to leave without him. Shayne gave me a look but I ignored it and walked past him very quietly, I turned around quickly and whispered "Shayne, I know you're my brother but please get her out of here... I will not take no for an answer, leave and take her with you now." He begrudgingly turned with the girl still squirming in his arms, she looked at me and I heard her say very quietly "please bring him back safe," I looked her dead in the eyes "I won't come back without him, I promise."

Shayne walked away and I started to walk towards this man, I was scared of him, I knew nothing about him all I knew was what I saw and that was a six foot man who looked tougher than Hercules. I reached my hand out and grabbed hsi hand, he turned around and saw me standing there, his eyes from a second went from concentration to anger and confusion. He grabbed me and pulled me close so his face was directly in front of mine "where... is... she?" I was honestly scared at this point and didn't want to be here anymore, I already wished I had gone with my brother or that we had been more careful in making sure that he came with us in the beghinning.

I put on a strong face and looked him dead in the eyes "She's with my brother and she's perfectly safe" he did not seem convinced "why did you take her?" he made it seem so sinister that I was afraid to answer him "don't make us out to be the enemy, listen she is with my brother because we saw you from the building window and saw that there was possibly one of the biggest zombie packs near the trailer and I wanted to help you guys," he stepped closer to me and caused me to take a step back bumping into the trailer "bring her back to me, now" I couldn't give him what he wanted "I told her I would bring you back to her safely... we need to go now."
