#24. Stillness.

I sat benumbed, at the corner of my bed,

Looking out to eternity,

I realized that things don't stay,

or they do, but in your head.

We sat together, under the blanket you adored,

I looked at you, and you returned the gaze,

I had never asked for more,

A sight, that left me amazed.

We used to be those petals basking in the rays,

unruffled by storms or passing rains,

togetherness withered everything else in range,

but I wish I knew, that seasons change.

We both had the same thing in our core,

those hush hush feelings, which brewed,

And we still kept mum, as the ticking closed,

to our dismay, to our ruins.

But then I read somewhere,

That it's never too late they say,

So, here I confess my feelings,

now speak out the picture, the grave.
