9 Scheming a Plan

I pulled Lester towards the football field for our plan to get Kyle, ish. The first part of the whole thing was that I explain how I'm involved, including to Ken. As I was quickening my running speed where I saw Jeremy arguing with Ken over something, Lester came to a sudden stop. Since I was grabbing onto his hand, I came back hard onto his chest. He oddly sighed and flipped me over his shoulder. I grunted out "You're a total asshole, you know that right?". He just chuckled and continued to walk forward.

When we finally arrived Lester dropped me gently onto the ground while Ken was looking at him really weirdly. I cleared my throat and said "If you gentlemen don't mind, I would like to explain my plan please". Lester narrowed his eyes at me but nodded to continue.

When I finished explaining the three of them said altogether "You know that is not going to work".

I rolled my eyes at these three " Please, I know what I'm doing, I'm going to be fine".

Lester spat bitterly "Oh do you now? And yet you told us about using the target as bait".

I sighed "I told you, I'm going to be fine. Nothing will go wrong". He just looked at me with weary eyes.

As I was walking home with Lester my mind went back to the plan that I thought of. I can't think of a way for the plan to fail, it can't fail. Lester was also in his own world. We were approaching my place when he broke the silence "You must be really crazy to think that you can just call your cousin and ask him randomly when the CSI not just works for him but for Kyle too. You're putting yourself in danger".

I sighed "Lester relax, we're in California and he's in New York, its two different cities in America. I highly doubt that he has any contact with anyone here while he's all the way there" I said matter-of-factly.

He groaned "Oh you better be careful cause I'm not going to get you out of your mess again".

I smiled slyly "But you still agreed that you will help me sneak into Kyle's place today". He groaned and I bursted out laughing and grinning.

I got our a duffle bag with some night vision gear my brother left when he used to go wolf hunting and displayed it in front of Lester onto the table.

His eyes opened widely "Okay, first of all, where did you get all this, and secondly, are you even legal?".

I almost fell to the ground laughing " Yes I am and its my big bro stuff, not mine".

He tilted his head to the side "So I'm not going to get a bullet up my ass, right?".

I shook my head in laughter "Right, now lets go Jester or this mission's gonna flop".

We sneaked into Kyle's "kingdom" and climbed the massive oak tree to see what the people were doing "Alright Lester, right now we need to get into that house, got the security pad I lent you?". He nodded and started to hack into the security doors, traps and cameras so that we wouldn't get caught. I nodded to his direction and opened the latch to the living room window. Putting on our night vision goggles, flashlight watches and headpiece microphones, we started on getting clues on his family history.

Lester and I found some files and photo albums of Kyle and his unknown brother. We also found out that that knife is the thing that makes his family insane, generation after generation. I heard someone open the basement door so I whispered to Lester harshly "Someone's coming, quick, hide".

We hid behind a rusty old couch that looks fifty years old. I saw that it was that blonde girl and that other one that I can't remember "Look, I'm sorry to say this Steph but you're a complete phyco. I think that's the only reason that Kyle is fucking you in his bedroom" the girl said and I nearly choked out laughing.

The girl who I remembered was named Stephanie huffed "Look, all we have to do is find that girl he wants so badly and I have him to myself".

The black head rolled her eyes " Yeah right, the girl has three guys protecting her, and not to mention that the blonde one really cute".

Stephanie rolled her eyes "Says the one with bad taste. Lisa you got problems".

Smiling cheekily, Lisa walked out the room with Stephanie tagging along. Well that was intense.

We sneaked up to the bathroom and looked in the bathroom counters and by the sink where it was yesterday, but we couldn't find it. We heard footsteps coming from outside and I panicked " Shit, we're going to get caught, quick we gotta hide".

Lester just scoffed and pulled me in the shower, hidden by the shower curtains. Kyle bursted through the doors with messed up hair and a confused face. Opening the top cabinet, he swallowed down some pills and started opening a drawer under the lower cabinet, revealing a big dark case. He opened it showing the glistening of the golden knife, carved with his family logo and the top part is twisted. On the handle was wrapped carefully with a rose gold band and dusted with gold specks. He twirled it around with his fingers and sighed heavily. He slowly placed the knife back into the case and snapped it shut. Storming out, he leaves it there, noticeable.

As soon as I was sure that Kyle was far enough, I got up and walked over to the case. I opened back the case and took out the knife. "Its lighter than I expected" I murmured. Lizzy was looking up to where an air vent is. But she was also looking at something that was starting to blink red. I asked her in curiosity "What's wrong?".

She jumped onto the bathtub and whispered hoarsely yet shakily " We need to go, now".

She opened the air vent and I asked again "What's going on?".

She sighed "The security camera's are coming back on in 10 minutes, and in order for us to make sure that we don't get caught we need to go, right now".

Sorry this took so long but with exams starting really early and me working on another book, I've been really busy. Plus the fact that I'm running out of ideas for this book so, totally not my fault.
