"Label "
By Jibreel LeeIf ink was embedded on my skin I would be looked at as a stereotype
African American male with tattoos from a city of crime where murkiness never meets the light
Society labels me as a thug ,a gangster , as a criminal even though I have zero acts of rebellion on my record to support their presumptions
In today's society being an African American you become so comfortable with criticism that when you are accused for a crime you actually lack the sense of animosity towards inefficacious assumptions
I shouldn't enjoy employment or education atleast that's what statistics display
But once glancing towards my demeanor and etiquettes without any inauthentic intentions people stare in dismay
Society labels us as aggressive and ignorant
Also impolite
I murder others with kindness to let them realize that listening to propaganda will definitely blind the direction of their sight
Media will have you think that Africa is one of the most impoverished continents in the world
That nothing comes from Africa accept famine and disease
Filling minds with lies and deceit but what about the facts of the glamorous resources that are never told?
Who ever speaks about Africa and its large quantity of diamonds , copper and gold ?
But that's impossible since the continent is poor and pathetic
Their so rich in minerals that some attempt to imitate their resources to create various types of synthetics
The media is a plague and easily can guide you in the opposite direction
Don't become that person who lets their intellect go to waste by the garbage on a television screen
Do your research before automatically judging others and remain optimistic towards affairs you've never witnessed or you've never seen
As an African American male I'm defeating statistics by living right now at this moment since in reality society
told me I would be dead or incarcerated in my years as a teen-Jibreel Lee
