Crying softly Isabel sat hugging her knees in the corner of a empty room. Keeping her face hidden she failed to notice the young elf male crouching next to her.
"Hey you ok?" He asked quietly tapping her shoulder which caused her to jump in surprise. Glancing at the young black haired elf child she smiled faintly and whispered.
"I'm ok Foxfire...Just need time to think." Glancing at her questioningly he said quickly "Don't move I'll be right back." Standing he quickly darted out of the room leaving Isabel to hug her knees alone again. After several minutes Isabel slowly began to uncurl before soft footsteps echoed in the hall. Standing fully Isabel sighed and wiped her eyes before Foxfire stuck his head back in the room.
"Please follow me." He said before waiting for her to move. "Mother says she knows what's wrong with Jones and I made you tea." Sighing Isabel lowered her head as Foxfire grabbed her hand and guided her to a room with a table and chairs accompanied by the soft grassy floor and the serene clearing appearance.
"Isabel...I'm glad that Foxfire found you." The small dark haired elf queen said as Foxfire and Isabel entered the room. Without saying anything Isabel lowered her head and sat at the table. A soft sound of a plate being slid across the table broke the silence as Foxfire pushed the cup of tea and plate towards Isabel as he said gently.
"Here." Looking up slightly Isabel slowly and shakily grabbed the cup before she said with a whisper of breath.
"Thank you." Slowly walking over Arya was wordless as she grabbed Isabel's hand and led her to a small intricate bench made from grass that was next to a small pond of water in the room. Carefully sitting on the bench Isabel hid her face in her hands after Arya grabbed the cup while Foxfire quietly exited the room. Slowly and quietly sitting next to Isabel, Arya wrapped her arm around Isabel's shoulders and letting the girl collapse against her and cry for several minutes before speaking softly.
"Shhh it's ok child." Looking up Isabel spoke softly through her tears "It's not ok...how could you ever understand what i feel?" Looking up Arya shifted a bit before settling her eyes on a flower across the pond and speaking with slowness and the years gone past.
"I may not understand how you feel because i can only try and guess, Everyone is different so they react differently to things. But to say I could never understand is wrong, I've had many years to experience the fragility of the world and what we call life." Trembling a little Isabel mumbled.
"I suppose you are correct, I forget you don't show your age." Smiling a little Arya shook her head before motioning for Isabel to sit up. Sitting up Isabel let Arya wipe the tears away before the elf spoke.
"You need not lose all hope, Jones is not falling away from you. Rather he's falling away from himself. You see he lost his soul and it's affecting him. Hope remains though so for the time remain calm and things will work out in the end." With that Arya stood quietly and exited the room with only the whisper of air as the door shut behind her leaving Isabel alone.
