He was back on his throne. Death could see the black souls drifting around his domain. He looked around and it was just the way it should be. He was alone. Isolated. He smiled and drummed his fingers on the arm of his throne. This is what perfection looked like. Screaming interrupted his thoughts. Death looked around and saw Arabella. Devil was standing over her and driving a dagger through her. Death tried to jump off his throne but he couldn't move. He couldn't speak. Devil looked at Death and grinned. He snapped his fingers and Arabella disappeared. Joe appeared beside Devil and he was slowly turning black. He slunk to the ground and groaned in pain. Death was fighting to get off his throne but he couldn't. One after the other, his friends and family were tortured in front him. Dante, Adrian, Fred, Ash, and the list went on. After the last person had disappeared Devil walked over to Death and laid a hand on his shoulder.

"Welcome home Death," Devil whispered. Death shook his head. He didn't want this. This wasn't what he had wished for. Devil laughed and looked at Death.

"This is who you are Death. You cause pain and misery to everyone you meet. This is the path that you have decided to walk down, and there is no turing back. Let go of your memories. Let go of them," Devil stated. One by one everyone slowly reappeared. They stood in a line in front of Death. They all stared at him.

"If you let them go now you can have your throne, and they can continue to live their lives," Devil explained. Death shook his head vigorously.

"If you won't let them go then I'm afraid you will have to suffer the price of disobeying orders," Devil growled. Devil's hand enveloped Death's face. Everything went black.

Death woke up screaming, causing both Time and Ash to rush over to him. Death looked around and saw that he wasn't on his throne. He was in Time's castle. It had all been a dream.

"Death are you alright?" Time asked him. Death shook his head numbly.

"It was just a bad dream... but it seemed so real," Death said, his words slowly becoming quieter. Death rubbed his hands across his face and looked at his gloves. They were stained with tears.

"You were having a horrible fit. Time said to not wake you up though," Ash stated. Time shuffled over to the two Powers and handed Death a glass full of a blue liquid.

"Here, drink this," Time said.

"What's in it?" Death asked.
"It'll help with the nightmares,"

Death took the glass from Time's scarred hand and drank it. The liquid burned down his throat and it felt like liquid fire. Death coughed and sputtered.

"What was that?" Death asked in a hoarse tone. Time couldn't contain his grin. He erupted in laughter and threw his head back. Death and Ash glared at the older Power.

"You don't want to know," Time stated.

"What was it?" Death growled.

"It was spit from my creature," Time said still laughing. Death looked over at Time's pet and it looked like the creature was smiling. Death glanced over at Ash who was also holding back his laughter.

"So, it doesn't help with nightmares?" Death asked. Time shook his head. Death groaned and leaned his head back against the wall.

"I've been meaning to ask you Time. How did you get those scratches?" Death asked. Time's laughs quieted and Time's smile turned to a frown.
