The Truth is the best picture, the best properganda'

19th July, 1919.
You said that you’ll always back me up, no matter what.
I need you.
Please.
You remember the photos that your friend took during the war, the ones that sat side by side with you reports
I looked at the ones that you sent me, the ones that the government deemed to ‘demoralising’ to print.
The ‘real’ photos.
I want to see the real world…
I want to show people the real world.
I want to combat hatred and war and suffering with the lens of a camera.
Because if people saw what was really there, then I don’t think that anyone would ever fight another war again.
Or is that my painful optimism and naïveté?
Can you tell me that it isn’t, can you tell me that it’s worth it.
Tell them that I can do it…
Tell me that I can do it
F.
Thank you.
