A Blackened Heart

It's already shattered,

Broken and tattered,

If the fire's washed out,

Then why does the burning still shout?

One day the mocking pang of regret will surround you,

And reality will crash around you,

My heart will be sewed back together,

By someone who'll hold me forever.

Realize you'll need me later,

But I'll be with someone greater,

If you want me now,

Don't let me down.

Hold my hand,

Be my man,

I hope I'm clear,

When I say you're not worth my tears.
