Lauren's POV

I didn't manage to get to sleep last night until about half one. the same questions kept playing on my mind 'would it really be that bad?' 'Could I look after a child on my own?'

I knew I wouldn't be able to make a decision like this on my own, so I decided to call Steven over to help sway me in the right direction. Steven and I had known each other for 6/7 years and he basically knew me inside out.

I sat on the sofa reading through some of the documents, Greg had given me. I was in a daydream and all of a sudden there was a knock at the door it was only a soft knock but it still scared me either way. I jumped, causing the papers in my hand to fly all over the floor.

I looked down at the mess and sighed before going to open the door. I greeted Steven with a yawn and a small smile and then he gives me a smile that just seems so genuinely sweet.

'So come on then what did you call me for. I'm hardly good at making my own decisions.' He joked sitting down on the arm of the sofa.

'Do you think I'd be able to look after a child for four weeks?' I asked him, getting straight to the point.

'Yes of course. What age would the child be?' He said, but I still wasn't convinced I waited a while to answer his question while he read over one of the pages. 'Look, it says here you can pick the age of the child. So maybe 13, 14 at least then if you forget to feed them they can feed themselves.' He laughed at himself as I rolled my eyes because it was speaking the truth.

Steven and I sat for another hour maybe two before he got the where are you? Text. We hugged goodbye. His hug wasn't Stern like most other guys, it was warm and reassuring. It made me feel a lot better about the decisions I'd come to.

I walked back and forth through the kitchen, nervous. Before I finally decided to call Greg and tell him the decision I'd come to.

But is it the right one?
