The warm red liquid fell slowly down the side of my face its coloring staining my skin as it went.
"Mom!" I screeched, trying to get her attention.
"Ohhhhh my bad!" She laughed before jumping off the bathroom counter and snagging the black rag on my lap.
"Do you want me to wipe it off upwards or...?"
"Mom!"
"Okay okay okay!" she laughed again before wiping the spilling red hair dye from the side of my face.
I breathed a heavy sigh of relief."
Oh stop being so dramatic, it was only there for a second."
she tisked her hands coming up with the rag to wipe more dye off.
"A second is all it needes before my face is dyed red!" I exclaimed my eyes squinting at her.
"Ohhh Like a sweet little strawberry shortcake" She hummed looking at me.
"Mom!" I squeaked
"What!" She looked at me for a second before breaking out into a strong joyous laughter.
"Seriously! you dying your hair red, you might as well go with the full look," she argued.
"I'm dying it red because it looks cool, not so people will think I'm strawberry shortcake!" I retorted back.
"who looks like strawberry shortcake," My dad asked walking into the master bathroom as he's eyes scanned the both of us tell they stopped dead on my head.
"Avisha What in Go.."
"Its not as bad as it looks!!!" My mom and I both screamed at the top of our lungs as we both scrambled to throw the dyeing tools and boxes in the trash and wrap a towel around my head.
"What do you mean it's not as bad as it looks!" My dad yelled his hands coming forward to try to yank the towel from my head.
Quickly I dodged him, going under his outstretched arms and running behind my mother. He stood baffled for a second before locking his eyes with my mother's and crossing his arms.
"Rose...I thought we talked about this."
Looking at anything but my father's eyes my mom stifled a laugh before mumbling out quietly."I think we came to different conclusions in that conversation."
Slowly, trying not to be seen I started to back away from behind my mom, and towards the bathroom exit.
"Oh no, you don't Avisha, Your staying for this conversation too." My dad barked before gesturing for me to sit in the dining room chair my mother and I had brought up into the master bathroom only an hour ago.
Breathing out a sigh of defeat, I walked around them both and sat in the chair in front of him.
"Ethan I.." My father looked briefly at my mother before she stopped talking.
Breathing out a long sigh, my father crouched before the chair I sat in and looked me straight in the eyes.
"Avisha, Your hair, is absolutely stunning just the way it is." He spoke with earnest his hands coming up to cup my checks.
"I know!!" I laughed at him, appreciating the way that he always made me feel good about myself.
"Butttttttt, Red is such a cool color!" I exclaimed
