I couldn't move, couldn't think, couldn't breathe. My whole soul raging in an uncontrollable hysteria. My eyes searched in a panicked dismay; looking but never seeing as the blanket of darkness and complete silence surrounded us.But it didn't seem to bother the giants as they walked side by side the one carrying me never halting or hesitating to take a step towards only utter darkness.Closing my eyes I struggled to become in tune with my inner clock, counting the steps of each movement, memorizing our shifts and turns as I recorded it to my memory. I tried to think hard, Tried to picture my father's voice in my head.
"Don't ever give up, you have to keep fighting, no matter what... Now punch me again" He breathed heavily, wiping the sweat from his eyes.
He looked like a complete mad man, his shirt drenched in sweat and his left eye already beginning to swell from where he hadn't been fast enough to block.
" Dad seriously" I huffed at him, my arms already feeling like spaghetti noodles in that old beat up boxing gym.
Taking a step back from the mat I tried to get one glove off with the other hand still gloved
" Yes I'm serious Avisha, you need to know how to protect yourself." He countered, taking a step towards me to slap my hand away from the other glove.
" Protect myself from what? The boogeyman?" I argued? Now preferring to sit on the sweat-covered mat in protest.
"Yes!" He laughed his hands coming forward to try and pick me back up.
" Dad!" I nagged him once more wacking his outreached hands from me.
" Come on Avisha just a couple more rounds" he bribed me, looking down at me as I now sprawled out on the floor, my body so exhausted I debated taking a nap.
" You said that rounds ago!
" And I meant it! Now come on we're almost done." He countered. His hands already raising to get into position.
Breathing out a quick breath of anxious energy I brought one of my legs up and out of the giants grasp kicking up as hard as I could.Giving him no time to block I felt as my heel connect with the giants nose, and the bone gave way.
Grunting loudly and throwing me from his grasp I plummeting through the air only to land harshly on the thick mud of the darkened outside, I couldnt see but that didn't stop me as I rushed to stand , taking a large step forward even as a gripping roar sounded behind me and I took off.
Pure adrenalin running through my veins, I could feel the giants breath on my neck.
"HELP!!! I screamed into the void, anything to get someones attention, to save me from these men, these people, these wicked people.
But it was too late, my body already plummeting to the ground as my foot caught on the trip of a protruding object from the ground, I tried to roll out of it, to bring my knees into my chest for momentum, but it didnt work, the men already jumping on me pinning me to the ground as I screamed out in pain and fear.
Pain because my whole body ached and pumped with the effects of my fall, and fear...fear because..
because in the light of the moon I saw what really attacked me, what really pinned me to the floor.
His face moving and shifting as his mouth came forward in an akward pull, and his cheeks sunk in even as his teeth began to protrude from his saliva dripping mouth, each one too large and sharp to be held in a humans jaws, but it wasn't human jaws that held them, but something id never seen before.
