Laurie and Val : Problem

Something's Wrong

Laurie's Pov: Val and I have been married for 2 years and we are expecting our first child. I am 7 months pregnant with our daughter.

Today we are having dinner with Mak's and his girlfriend Peta.

We were all in the kitchen and I started to feel pain in my abdomen and it wasn't going away.

" OWWW" I screamed out grabbing my stomach and the counter and within seconds Val was beside me

" Val , Something is wrong. Their is pain in my stomach and it's not going away" I tell Val

Seconds later Val had Mak's calling for an ambulance.

A couple of seconds later my vision went dark as I lost consciousness.

Val's Pov: Life is fantastic because I am married to my beautiful wife of 2 years and we have a baby girl on the way.

Laurie and I were having dinner at our house with Mak's and his girlfriend Peta and we are all in the kitchen.

Mak's and I were talking and we heard Laurie scream.

Laurie screamed and grabbed her stomach and the kitchen counter and I raced to her side.

" Val, Something is wrong. There is pain in my stomach and it's not going away" She tells me

I told Mak's to call for an ambulance while Peta and I stayed with Laurie.

Laurie's eyes started to close as she lost consciousness.

About 5 minutes later the ambulance arrived and Peta and Mak's got in their car and I hopped into the back of the ambulance to ride with Laurie.

We arrived at the hospital and they trauma team took Laurie and I tried to go with her but they wouldn't let me so I was left to worry about the what ifs.

I started to Pace back and forth across the waiting room waiting for someone to come out and tell me how Laurie is. At some point During my pacing Mak's and Peta arrived.

" Val, Laurie is a fighter. She will be okay" Mak's tells me in an attempt to make me worry less

" Mak's, I am not just worried about Laurie I am worried about my baby girl as well" I tell them and immediately clap my hand over my mouth because Mak's didn't know the gender of the baby

" Are you telling me that I am going to have a beautiful niece?" He asks me

" Yes, you are going to have a beautiful niece and goddaughter" I tell him accidentally

" Wait, You want me to be your Daughters godfather?" He asks me as tears come to his eyes

" Yes, Laurie and I talked about this when we first found out that we were going to be parents. We wanted to know that if anything were to happen to us our baby would have someone . Will you please be my daughters godfather?" I ask him

" Yes" He tells me and we hug

I was about to say something back to my brother but the doctor walked out

" Doctor, are my wife and daughter going to be okay?" I ask him

" Yes, They are both going to be just fine" He tells me

" What caused Laurie to have pain in her stomach?" I ask curiously

" Your daughter was kicking to hard and it caused a few contractions which we were able to stop" The doctor informs me

After the doctor leaves I am able to breathe a sigh of relief.

My wife and daughter are both going to be okay.
