A/N: I couldn't find a picture of Josh Hutcherson dead, this is the closest I got, so never mind!😂

Stella's POV

I can't help but feel so grateful that the cell door was unlocked as I sprint through the hall with Jonah and Dean. I can see the distress on both their faces, and I'm sure my expression matches theirs. As I reach the end of the hall, I mentally prepare myself for the worst. As I come face to face with the horrible sight before me, I wince and clap my hand over my mouth to stifle a sob.

Linkin's lifeless body lays before me, his pale complexion lacking colour and several cuts and grazes littering his skin. His eyes are closed, and I can't concentrate because there are so many different scenarios in which he could've died running through my head. I look over at Jonah and Dean, Jonah is thinking, I can tell by the way his eyebrows are furrowed and how he isn't blinking. Dean is still in a state of shock, I want to go comfort him but my feet seem to be planted on the cold, hard cement. I look around, and my eyes widen in fear, realising that we are the only people in this room, and the security cameras are on. In a hurry, I tap Jonah and tell him we have to get out of here. Still trying to comprehend everything, we all head back to our rooms and I can tell that I won't be getting any sleep tonight.

I sit in the cell on Dean's bed, still having to make an effort to coax him out of his shock. His eyes are wide, and he isn't talking. Jonah left for the bathroom, and he's been there a while, but you know guys, its probably nothing. I shouldn't be worried. I mean, I care about Jonah, but not in that way, right? Sure, we had a moment, but I don't even know what that was, we were both overwhelmed with all the drama and needed to be there for each other. Plus, even if I did like him like that, he would never feel the same. Why am I getting so distracted? Why does Jonah distract me so much? Before I can begin to think of an answer, Dean's voice snaps me out of my trance. "He's gone, isn't he?." I give Dean a sympathetic look, and I really mean it. He's been here so long, for something to just happen like this, he's bound to be shocked by it. "I think so, Dean, I don't think there's anything we can do." His expression changes, it turns into one similar to Jonah's thinking face. "There has to be something, I mean, he wasn't the most decent person on this Earth, but he was better than the other officers I've encountered. Why is it that the moment you turn up, someone dies? This is all your fault!" He shoves me back, and I land flat on my back, I grimace in pain. When I open my eyes, Dean stands over me, and he looks intimidating. His cheeks have more colour in them than before, his eyes are blazing with fury, and his muscles seem more noticeable through the fabric of his white t-shirt. He sinks down in front of me, his anger taking over him, and he raises his fist, and I prepare myself for the strike, but it doesn't come. I hear a crunch, like breaking bones, and I look up to see Jonah going at Dean. His knuckles get bloodier after every punch, and every hit seems to get stronger as the fight goes on. Jonah's fist connects with Dean nose, then his head, then his jaw, and I think its enough. I scramble to my feet, and attempt to break them apart. My movements are slow and lazy, my back hurts, but Jonah sees me and his grip loosens on Dean, letting him crumple to the ground in a limp heap. I try to help Dean up and onto his bed, Jonah tries to help, but I give him a look that I know shoots daggers and he retreats. When I finish with Dean, who is knocked out cold, I turn to Jonah. "Where the fuck were you??" I scream, also slightly surprised at my choice of words. I raise my eyebrows, needing pretty darn good excuse to let him off the hook. "I wasn't lying when I said I went to the bathroom, I did, but when I came out, I went to look at the body, to see if I could find anything useful." "Oh my god Jonah, you didn't get any fingerprints the body, did you?! The forensics could track you down!" He glares at me. " You really think I'm that stupid? Of course not!" He rolls his eyes, clearly annoyed at my conclusion. Still miffed about him ditching me for 'evidence,' I still want some information for myself. "Well?" I ask. "What?" He fires back, clearly frustrated and confused. "Did you find anything?" His face tenses slightly, and I inhale. "I think so."

Sheriff Linkin's POV - 6 hours earlier

I sit in the office, sorting out files and evidence packets when I hear the front door to the station creak open and slam shut. That's odd. I wasn't expecting anybody. Then all the lights turn off and I'm stranded in darkness. My hands fumble around trying to find my gun and torch. I manage to find them both and turn the torch on. I scan the room, but can't see anything. "Show yourself!" I shout at the top of my lungs. "I am the sheriff and I have a gun so don't mess with me or I will put it to some use!" No response. I'm about to move to turn the lights abck on when a sharp pain shoots through my side, then my stomach, then my back. The stabs come through again and again and I can feel the warm thick liquid trickling down my skin. I fall to the ground, I can't see anyone, no one at all, and I panic. I can't move, it feels like I'm slowly shutting down. My thoughts mute, and darkness falls.

A/N: Wow! I don't even know why but I really like this chapter, I think it's my favourite so far! Comment which chapter's your favourite! I'm interested to see your responses. Tell me, did you expect this to happen? As you can probably see, I've tried to tone it down with the POV changes, people have found it confusing so I'm trying to do a bit less of it. Thank you for sticking around while I was on camp, it was amazing! Although I did miss you all too and was excited to write again! When I came back, I saw that I had over 170 reads! Thanks guys, this is so awesome! I will see you soon with another update!

Kisses,

A xoxo
