Hospital

I wake up in darkness.

I slowly open my heavy eyelids to a blinding white light and everything is blurry.

I blink my eyes heavily and it slowly focuses.

I look around.

I'm in a hospital room, connected to wires.

I heave in a breath and I hear a girl shriek.

"She moved!"

I turn to look at her and find a head of blonde hair.

I smile.

"Haley" I say weakly.

She turns to me. "Cara!"

I lift my hand up and take the oxygen mask off of my face, take a deep breath and sigh.

"Oh Thank God" She Breathes.

I swallow. "What happened?"

"I was taking the bus to my friend's house when I saw you collapsing on the side of the road!" She explains.

Then a nurse comes in. I read "Nurse Winters" on her coat.

She comes up to me, smiling.

"Ah Miss Ward, You're awake!" She says.

"Why did I collapse?" I ask her.

She turns to me. "You had an asthma attack" She tells me.

Then her voice turns slightly business like.

"Now where do you live Miss Ward?" She asks me.

I gulp.

"Well I kinda...."

She raises and eyebrow.

"Don'tliveanywherejustkindahavebeenstayinginmotels" I say in one breath and smile weakly.

"What?!" Shrieks Haley.
