Love love love
What a funny word; love
What a horrible word; love
Love is supposed to be
At the delicacy of a dove
Swiftly moving across humans
But instead it's a curse
The twisted curse
Tricking us with promise
Of hope
of happiness
A roller coaster of madness
Supposed to excite our interest in life
The promise grabbed at our vulnerable selves like a vice
What a cruel word,
shaking our lives like worthless dice
Like a wolf pretending to be our friend
We know what will happen In the end
But sometimes we overestimate our level of defense
Then we say
What harm may occur
To befriend a little wolf
So we linger and stay
Because we heard tales
Of a friendly wolf
Making miracles and breaking believes.
After the wolf has feigned trust
We lie there as prey, dumbfounded and struck
With the ultimate truth of love.
Maybe dreams come true, but fairytales don't.
Keep an eye out for love, a very tricky wolf.
Stories are truly a work of art,
But not all tales are true my heart.
